Bottom Line

Located on the edge of the city center near Brussels North railway station, the upper-middle-range Husa President Park is situated in a business district bordering a more run-down area of town. The 297 guest rooms are spacious and have large windows that let in lots of natural light; however, some lack air-conditioning. This business-oriented hotel has three levels of conference facilities with a total of 18 meeting rooms. A restaurant, lounge bar, and fitness center are also on hand, and underground parking is available for a fee. Scene

Five-story business hotel popular with corporate travelers and tour groups

The handsome five-story building housing Husa President Park stands out from the boring office buildings on the same block, with arched ground-floor windows and rooftops edged in decorative trim. The interiors, however, have the look of a generic business hotel. The lobby area is spacious but boxy, with low ceilings, shiny white tile floors, a black reception counter, and red carpeting that adds a bit of color to the otherwise monochromatic color palette. Several potted plants and lamps provide a more cozy feel in the sitting areas, all of which have wooden flooring. With three floors of meeting facilities, the hotel caters to business travelers, but it also gets its fair share of leisure travelers, especially tour groups.

Rooms

Spacious, simply decorated guest rooms with lots of natural light

With a minimum of 301 square feet of floor space, rooms and suites are generously spacious. Large windows let in plenty of sunlight, and floors in pale wood brighten up the spaces as well. Decor is simple, with espresso-colored furniture contrasting with white walls. Embellishments are kept to a minimum -- a single abstract tableau provides just a hint of decoration. Some rooms feature bright-red accent walls and colorful, striped bed runners, which add some cheer to the chain-hotel decor. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, and mini-fridges. All but the entry-level Standard Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning. The Executive Rooms, Junior Suites and Presidential Suite have a few extra perks like iPads, and coffeemakers, while the Presidential Suite includes its own kitchen. Bathrooms are surprisingly small across room categories, and some show signs of age. All come with granite counters and shower/tub combos with rainfall showerheads. Magnifying mirrors, hairdryers, and toiletries are provided. Some past guests have complained of lingering cigarette smells.
