Scene

Modern boutique hotel with attractive public spaces for leisure travelers

Hotel Queen Anne's makes a good first impression, with a series of glass doors and a marble hallway leading to the lobby. There's mod seating, trendy art on walls, mirrored columns, and potted plans lined up along the high floor-to-ceiling windows. The business center is in an alcove, and has a stylish fixture and a funky, antique table covered with newspapers and magazines. An open staircase leads to mezzanine, where the breakfast room is located, which has sleek tables and a series of large drum pendants. The couples and other leisure travelers the hotel attracts don't spend much time milling around after breakfast, and hurry out to see the sights.

On a busy street in central Brussels, close to restaurants, shops, and the metro

The Hotel Queen Anne is located on a busy one-way street between the Northern quarter and Grand Place square in the heart of the city's historic center. It’s a short walk to two metro stations and to the shops and cafes along Rue Neuve. Several restaurants are even a shorter walk, and a grocery store is nearby as well. The Central and North train stations that connect to the city's metro system also are within walking distance. - Five-minute walk to two Metro stations

Rooms

A bit spare, with tube TVs and no AC, but stylish details make spaces appealing

Guest rooms at Hotel Queen Anne have considerable drawbacks, but they're well-maintained and visually appealing overall. The minimalist look borders on spare, there's no AC, and tube-style TVs are set on corner shelves. But accent walls boast colorful, on-trend wallpaper, there are modern desks and chairs with attractive scones above, and ample light from large windows. Bedding is all-white, and many past guests have noted that mattresses are comfortable. Open wardrobes offer shelves and hanging space. Bathrooms in Twin Rooms have basic white tile and shower/tub combos with removable showerheads, but most are clad in sleek, white marble, and add heated towel racks. Units on higher floors offer sweeping city views.

Features

24-hour front desk, lobby business corner, and free public Wi-Fi, but fee for breakfast

This property is light on features, but it does offer a hot breakfast buffet with eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, and breakfast meats, although it isn't included in room rates. Two computers are available in the lobby that guests can use free of charge, and the hotel's 24-hour front desk offers concierge services that cover assistance with tour tickets and printing airline boarding passes. There's also a safety deposit box and free newspapers. There's no on-site parking, but staff can arrange parking just a short walk from the hotel. Free Wi-Fi is accessible in public spaces, and the hotel has an elevator that accesses all six floors.
