Bottom Line

Offering one of the best
views in Bruges, the 16-room Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce - Luxe Worldwide Hotel is a
charming upscale boutique overlooking the bend of the Dijver Canal. The polished rooms have beautiful features like exposed beam ceilings, distressed wood floors, and pretty floral curtains. There’s no proper bar or
full restaurant on-site, but the hotel serves breakfast in a lovely room with
adjacent patio seating offering views of the canal. Those who would prefer a larger hotel with more features should consider the similarly priced Kempinski Hotel Dukes' Palace, which has a full restaurant and bar on-site as well as a fitness center and spa.

Scene

Charming boutique with high-end furnishings

Wood cladding and peaked
roofs give the hotel a charming look from the quaint, picturesque street
outside. The canal flanks the hotel on two sides, and the area is popular with tourists
wanting to take in the postcard-perfect views. Inside the lobby the small,
white front desk is charming with gold embellishments. The hotel is formed out
of former residences, and hallways and stairways have a tight, homey vibe. There’s
no actual bar at the hotel, but a parlor with a buffet table holding liquor
bottles and fabric chairs forming a seating area serve that purpose. Breakfast
is served in a romantic room with leather chairs and a brick fireplace, and a stone
patio with cafe tables provides an outdoor space for taking in the canal views.

Location

Picturesque location next to canal and near boutiques

Guests couldn’t ask for a
better location than the one at Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce - Luxe Worldwide
Hotel. It’s next to the Dijver Canal on a pretty street in the most famous area
in Bruges. Both the outdoor market and the historic center of town popular for
its famous medieval buildings are within a short walk. The area can get busy,
especially in summer, with tourists wanting to get a peek at the picturesque
canal views. The international airport in Ostend is around a half-hour drive.

Rooms

Beautiful rooms with stunning views and marble bathrooms

Rooms are homey with
beautiful Ralph Lauren bedding and varying decor including floral wallpaper and
Louis Vuitton trunks. Windows look out on picture-perfect views across the
canal to the spires of nearby buildings. Elegant touches in the rooms include exposed wood beam ceilings and lovely distressed wood floors. Marble bathrooms have towel warmers,
makeup mirrors, and ample bathroom toiletries as well as bathrobes. All rooms
have flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi, but no mini-fridges or electric kettles.

Features

Central location and lovely breakfast room with outdoor terrace overlooking canal

The best feature of the
hotel is its sought-after location on the canal. The lovely breakfast room has
a brick fireplace and leather chairs, and an outdoor terrace offers seating
overlooking the canals. There’s no full bar, but spirits can be obtained in an
elegant parlor. Parking is available for a fee.
