Bottom Line

A quick, free shuttle ride from the Vancouver International
Airport, the 206-room Accent Inn Vancouver Airport is a convenient value option
for travelers flying in or out of the city. The hotel has spacious rooms with comfortable beds that earn good reviews from guests, and the mostly beige style is pleasant, if a bit bland. There's also an IHOP restaurant on-site
and an indoor hot tub, but there’s no pool and the fitness center is tiny. There’s
not much in the nearby area except for a few restaurants, and it’s around a 20-minute drive to downtown
Vancouver. For something with more amenities like a pool, travelers should consider the Pacific Gateway Hotel at Vancouver Airport, though rates will be higher.

Scene

Value hotel with straightforward style that's close to the airport

In the Vancouver suburb of Richmond, the Accent Inn Vancouver Airport doesn't necessarily stand out when it comes to style, as the town is packed with value airport options. Still, this is a pleasant chain outpost with some nice additions that make a stay here convenient for travelers needing airport access or a cheaper alternative to downtown Vancouver hotels. From the outside, the attractive building has stone accents and exterior corridors with glass balcony rails. Baskets
filled with colorful flowers hanging from the outside of the hotel are a lovely
touch, as is the outdoor seating area with patio furniture. Inside, there’s a small, carpeted lobby with a fireplace, a free
coffee station, and a seating area. The property has an IHOP restaurant on-site
with a small outdoor patio area with tables and umbrellas. The hotel sees a wide swath of visitors, from families and couples, to business travelers, solo travelers, and groups of friends.

Location

In suburban Richmond, a 10-minute drive from the airport

The hotel is located just
off Highway 99, the major north-south highway running through Greater
Vancouver. There are a lot of offices in the area and a couple of casual restaurants
within walking distance, including a McDonald’s and Fogg N’ Suds -- a casual
restaurant and bar that offers discounts to Accent guests. There are some shopping malls in Richmond for anyone needing a little retail therapy, including the Aberdeen Centre, which is just over five minutes away by car. The hotel
offers a free shuttle to Vancouver International Airport, which is around a
10-minute drive from the hotel. From the airport, there’s a SkyTrain to Downtown Vancouver, which takes around a half hour; otherwise, downtown is a 20-minute drive from
the hotel.

Rooms

Spacious rooms with plain decor plus flat-screen TVs and air-conditioning

Rooms at Accent Inn
Vancouver Airport are spacious, and past guests have found the beds comfortable. Room decor is plain, with beige walls and light- or
dark-veneer wooden furnishings. Patterned tan carpets and striped jewel-tone curtains work together with colorful accents pillows and bed runners to brighten things up. A few pieces of abstract art in dark wood frames hang on the walls, and padded, oversized headboards sit above the beds. All rooms have flat-screen TVs and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Bathrooms have a plain, chain-like vibe, with shower/tub
combos, toiletries, and whimsical rubber duckies as a cute, standout addition. Rooms with
kitchenettes are available and come furnished with refrigerators, electric cooktops,
microwaves, and cookware. Highway noise can be an issue in some rooms at the hotel.

Features

Free airport shuttle, free parking, and IHOP on-site

The hotel offers a free
shuttle to the Vancouver International Airport, and there’s also free parking
on-site. Long-term parking can be arranged with an advanced reservation. The property also has an IHOP on-site, serving American food, with lots of breakfast options. Hotel features include an indoor hot tub, and there’s a tiny fitness center with just three machines: an elliptical, a treadmill, and a stationary bike. Free bicycle rentals are available, and the
property has coin-operated laundry machines. In-room spa treatments are
available for a fee, and there is an Internet corner in the lobby with one
computer. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
