Quality Inn West

From the outside, the Quality Inn West looks like a pretty standard motel, except that the surrounding area is quite green, with well-kept lawns and foliage. Inside, the lobby is simple but bright, with large windows, a wooden front desk, computers, and a printer for guests to use, and some couches and chairs. The carpet is a bit dated and worn, as are the furnishings, but the space is enlivened by a gas fireplace and a coffee trolley for morning pick-me-ups. The hotel is popular with couples and families traveling on a budget and looking to be close to Branson entertainment.

The Comfort Inn West is well-situated for visiting Branson attractions. The immediate area is relatively quiet, with the hustle and bustle of Branson City about four miles away, but there are a number of theaters within walking distance; even those that aren't a comfortable walk can be reached in just a couple of minutes by car. A number of other more outdoorsy attractions are also quite close: Payne Stewart Golf Club is a 10-minute drive from the hotel, and Henning Conservation Area, with its hiking and wildlife, is three minutes by car. Horseback riding trails can be found at Uncle Ike’s Trail Ride, a 10-minute drive away. Silver Dollar City theme park is a 10-minute drive, and the Ralph Foster Museum and Veterans Memorial Museum are both nearby.

All rooms at the Quality Inn West are spacious and clean; yellow walls and colorful, patterned bedding are warm and cozy, but furnishings are somewhat dated and, in some cases, worn. The red wall-to-wall carpets and dark wood furniture are pleasant enough, but add to the dated feel. Each room has a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker, as well as a flat-screen TV, hairdryer, and air-conditioning. Some rooms have hot tubs next to the bed for those seeking romance. Bathrooms are basic, but clean and well-maintained, with good water pressure in combination shower/tubs.

The Quality Inn West serves an extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast each morning in the bright breakfast room, with its green chairs and office-style ceiling tiles. There’s a picnic patio with outdoor furniture for outdoor breakfasts on nice days. The indoor salt water pool is pleasant and modern, and is housed under a barn roof with skylights. There's a laundry room -- handy for travelers on longer trips -- that has well-maintained machines and a coin-operated detergent dispenser. However, the hotel lacks both a fitness center and full restaurant. There are, however, free Wi-Fi, computers for guests use, and free parking.
