Bottom Line

The 51-room Lynina Inn is a budget motel in Branson, just a five-minute drive from the main strip. The motel's owner, Ginger, takes great care to ensure the consistently good reviews from guests by accommodating specific needs. In addition to the small outdoor swimming pool, free breakfast is a nice perk and includes both hot and cold items. Rooms are dated but clean and have flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges. Free Wi-Fi and parking add to its value. Overall, this is a nice pick for families on a budget: kids 12 and under stay for free.

Scene

Three-story motel decorated with local color

The exterior of Lynina Inn is typical of a budget motel: a stark white building with green staircases, railings, and awning over the entrance. Inside, there's a lobby area with the reception desk and quirky decorations like a horse stuffed animal, a bald eagle print, and shelf lined with autographed photos of local entertainers. The breakfast room is through the lobby and filled with ample wooden tables. A large refrigerator/cooler holds bottled soft drinks and waters for purchase. Large posters of theater and concert acts hang on the walls. The vibe is relaxed since the motel is removed from the main strip. The hotel staff and owner, Ginger, receive praise for friendliness and service.

Location

Quiet location with easy access to highway and area attractions

The Lynina Inn is in a quiet location off a main road within easy reach of many area attractions. It's about a five-minute drive to the main highway Missouri Route 76, known as 76 Country Boulevard -- famous for its entertainment theaters. There, travelers can find the Titanic Museum, Andy Williams Moon River Theatre, and Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. The Silver Dollar City theme park is a 10-minute drive from the motel. It's a 20-minute drive to the Branson Airport. The hotel has free parking for guests.

Rooms

Clean and generic rooms on three floors

Rooms at Lynina Inn have typical motel furnishings, including wooden furniture, white linens, and earth-toned bedspreads. There's generic art and dated green carpeting. Some rooms include a comfy chair recliner. All rooms have mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and flat-screen TVs -- microwaves can be requested. Bathrooms are set with shower/tub combos and exterior vanities with hairdryers mounted to the wall. Upgrade to a Jacuzzi Suite for a whirlpool tub by the bed. The inn does little things to differentiate it from other motels -- samples of products like Breathe Right strips and Orbit gum for kids are laid out on a table near the door. Note that there's no elevator, so request a room on the ground level if mobility is an issue.

Features

Free deluxe breakfast and small pool

A nice perk at the Lynina Inn is the small swimming pool on the property. Trees are planted to block the street, while tables, chairs, and plastic loungers line the water. A large free breakfast is served each morning and features hot and cold items -- biscuits with sausage gravy, waffles, eggs, cereal, pastries, and juice. There are two computers and a printer/fax/copy machine available for guests in the breakfast room. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. There are also vending machines and snacks for sale.
