Scene
Lodge-style budget hotel with entertainment roots
The cozy and warm atmosphere of the Lodge of the Ozarks can be felt right when you walk through the front door. The lobby's stone fireplace and large chandelier add ambient light, while the comfortable lodge-style seating and woodland-inspired rugs make the lobby feel homey. Wooden furniture in the lounge, along with a waterfall feature and suede chairs, add to the lodge theme and provide a pleasant and comfortable place to lounge, but the 90s-style banquet chairs in the meeting rooms fall short. The outdoor courtyard with a gazebo, trees, and seating areas is another pleasant place to lounge. The hotel generally feels quite quiet, except at breakfast, as it primarily caters to tourist who want to take advantage of being in the Theater District.
Location
On the main road in the Theater District, within walking distance of all the major sights
The Lodge of the Ozarks is located in Branson's Theater District, on the city's trafficked main drag (76), within walking distance of dozens of major attractions, including White Water, Clay Cooper Theatre, Jim Stafford Theater, and
Dutton Family Theater. Restaurants and shops are also walkable from the hotel. A
rental car is necessary if you want to see attractions outside of the
entertainment district. Free parking is available.
Rooms
Recently renovated, with a range of amenities
Recently renovated rooms at the Lodge of the Ozarks have solid, light wood bed frames and lodge-like furnishings, including plush upholstered chairs and granite countertops. Plaid bed runners were added after our visit. Some rooms also have jetted tubs. Bathrooms are bland, in all white, but they do have a lot of counter space. All rooms have coffeemakers, mini-fridges, flat-screen TVs, irons/ironing boards, hair dryers, and Oasis toiletries.
Features
Indoor pool with outdoor sundeck
Similar to other hotels in the area, the Lodge of the Ozarks has a nice indoor pool and mid-size fitness center. The pool also has an adjoining outdoor sun deck with plastic chairs and a fountain, while the fitness center has a good amount of equipment (that's somewhat dated) and large windows. There's also a business center on-site, which consists of a wooden desk with a computer. The complimentary hot breakfast available receives excellent reviews. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and concierge services are available to help you plan your excursions.
