The Hotel Grand Victorian is a clean value hotel on Branson's main road, within walking distance of attractions,
shops, and restaurants. Thanks to its floral-patterned, Victorian-inspired decor, much of the hotel has a cozy feel, although bright-pink accent walls in rooms are a tad shocking. The
rooms are comfortable and spacious, with extra seating space, and some have balconies and jetted
tubs, but the overall design is a bit dated and worn. There are numerous amenities, though, which make Hotel Grand popular with families; they include indoor and outdoor saltwater pools, a game room, free breakfast, and 24-hour fitness and business centers. Small pets are welcome for a fee.
Scene
Cozy and clean, with a Victorian-inspired, lived-in style
It’s not so much that the Hotel Grand
Victorian is dated as that its homey -- and the Victorian-inspired aesthetic calls to mind a grandmother's house to some. In the lobby, guests find a Victorian-style, red velvet seating area topped with teddy bears, floral
wallpaper borders everywhere, and green carpeting. Porcelain dolls sit
on a shelf in the lobby and the breakfast room features gold-rimmed plates on the walls, a mural of ivy, and lots of wainscoting. There
are a few fireplaces in the upper and lower lobby areas, which add some
coziness, in addition to a piano and free newspapers. The concrete pool deck is sunny and pleasant, with woven loungers and a barbecue for guests to use. Free afternoon tea and
cookies inspire some mingling, and both indoor and outdoor pools can get lively with families. The hotel is slightly modern in some aspects but certainly has a
lived-in atmosphere.
Location
On Branson's main road, within walking distance of restaurants, attractions, and shops
The Hotel Grand Victorian is located across the street from the Ride the Ducks
attraction in central Branson, surrounded by other hotels, chain restaurants, and attractions. It’s on the main street (West 76
Country Boulevard) and is within walking distance of 76 Music Hall, The Track
Family Fun Parks, outlets, shops, and restaurants. White Water, the Titanic
Museum, and the Dixie Stampede are all under a five-minute drive away. A rental car
is necessary to reach hiking trails, Table Rock Lake, and other attractions; the hotel offers free parking.
Rooms
Comfortable and clean with a dated, Victorian-inspired style; some have private balconies
The rooms at this hotel are large and have the same homey, Victorian-inspired style as the common areas, although the overall feel is a bit dated and worn. Some look a bit mismatched, with pink
accent walls that don't match the red and green chairs; the floral
borders, pillows, and drapes look newer, but the style is still a dated one. Carved wooden bed frames
are in good condition and each room has a mini-fridge, coffeemaker,
flat-screen TV, and microwave. Some rooms have balconies and large jetted
tubs, while others have tiny bathrooms and experience issues with traveling noise. Dark granite vanities
stand out amongst the white tile and paint in the bathrooms, and all rooms have
White Marble or Damana toiletries. Because the hotel is pet-friendly, furry
friends receive a welcome gift upon arrival.
Features
Indoor and outdoor saltwater pools and hot tubs, a game room, and a small, lackluster fitness center can all be found here.
The Hotel Grand Victorian's facilities cater to families and older guests. The indoor and outdoor saltwater pools and hot
tubs are especially popular; even in the winter months, the large windows and fireplace make the indoor pool a pleasant place for families to hang out. Additionally, a game room with hardwood floors has a
pool table and arcade games to keep the kids entertained. The 24-hour business and fitness centers are less impressive; a computer desk in the
lobby constitutes the business center, and the fitness center has no windows, old carpeting, and a small TV. Free Wi-Fi is available and the free
breakfast is comprehensive. There is also a small gift shop and guest
laundry room. The hotel is pet-friendly, but there are fees and weight restrictions.
