There is not much to dislike about this 356-room hotel in the heart of the Back Bay district of Boston. It is in a central location near many popular restaurants and attractions, and is less than two blocks from the green line to get to all of Boston. Modern rooms are a decent size, and are stocked with extras like C.O. Bigelow Bath Products, slippers and robes, and umbrellas. It all starts with a champagne toast at check-in, and perks include an indoor pool and fitness center. However, there have been some complaints of loud air-conditioning units and Wi-Fi can be spotty.
Scene
Upscale, hipster property
As you enter the hotel's wide, open lobby you get the vibe of a spa. You'll notice a fresh, clean fragrance that smells a little of candles. The hotel has a modern look with marble accents and abstract art. The lounges and restaurants have all received accolades. The Emerald Lounge, for instance, was named one of the seven hottest cocktail bars in Boston. Each lounge and restaurant has a different look and decor.
Location
Prime spot for sight-seeing
The location is ideal. Only 15 minutes from Logan Airport, it's within walking distance of Chinatown and many shops and restaurants. It's less than four miles away from Fenway Park. It has easy access to the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, the Back Bay district, and Beacon Hill. The Public Garden, an old and interesting graveyard, the waterfront, and a theater are walking distance. There is even a Starbucks across the street. For those not wanting to walk the Arlington Station (green line to Copley-Newbury St. and Fenway Park) is only a block-and-a-half away. The Revere is only a short taxi ride (or train ride) to the Long Wharf and the aquarium.
Rooms
Clean and modern
The Revere has 356 rooms. The rooms are clean and newly decorated in a modern style. The rooms come with C.O. Bigelow Bath Products, an umbrella for rainy days, and two sets of robes and slippers. For those needing to work at the hotel, each room comes with a large desk work space with conveniently-located outlets and free Wi-Fi. The beds are plush and soft, and most say super comfortable, but the air conditioners can be noisy. The closets can easily accommodate large suitcases. For your morning coffee fix, each room comes with a Keurig machine so you can enjoy your cup of Joe on the room's balcony overlooking the city.
