Parador Boquemar
Carretera 101, Boqueron Village

The two-pearl Parador Boquemar is right in the heart of Boqueron, village within a short walk to a dozen restaurants, beach bars, and the popular Boqueron Beach. The modest pool and casual restaurant are the extent of features; there's also an unfortunate charge for Wi-Fi and while breakfast is free, it doesn't get great reviews. The 75 rooms are clean and functional, with mini-fridges and flat-screen TVs. Decor is simple and a bit dated, and some guests have noted nighttime noise from bars across the street and traffic. Although it lacks a restaurant, the slightly pricier Parador Combate Beach offers similar amenities in a more pleasant package, plus direct access to Combate Beach.

Aquarius Vacation Club
Carretera 101, Acceso Balneario Km 18

The three-pearl, 88-room Aquarius Vacation Club is one of the most modern, resort-like properties in the village of Boqueron. Entry-level Studio rooms offer mini-fridges and Wi-Fi, while villas upgrade to full kitchens, spacious private balconies, and washer/dryers. With easy access to the town's decent beach and a large, resort-style pool area -- including a hot tub, mini-water park, and open-air restaurant -- guests looking for a tropical vacation likely won’t want for much. However, the lack of on-site nightlife and the restaurant’s mediocre food quality and selection may discourage some. Those wanting to save a little money should consider Parador Boquemar, which offers slightly fewer amenities and is more dated, but is in the heart of the town's bar scene.

Cofresi Beach Hotel
#57 Munoz Rivera

The two-pearl Cofresi Beach Hotel offers few amenities, but the location -- just blocks from the restaurants, bars, and beautiful beach in Boqueron -- is excellent. The rooftop deck has a small pool and bar with beautiful, panoramic views of the surrounding village. The 16 apartments are dated, but bright and clean, and feature fully-equipped kitchens, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Otherwise, there's not much going on here, and it's best used as a cheap home base for exploring Puerto Rico's western reaches. The slightly pricier, similarly appointed Parador Boquemar offers a restaurant and a prime location across the street from Boquerón Beach.

BOHO Beach Club
Carr 101 Km 18.1, Entrada Balneario Boqueron

The two-pearl Western Bay Boqueron Beach Hotel has an ideal location near the center of Boqueron, just blocks from restaurants, bars, and the beach. Unfortunately, the rooms and amenities are reminiscent of lesser budget motels. The minimal common amenities on offer -- including free continental breakfast and an outdoor pool with a pool bar -- are all lackluster. Rooms are small, dark, and minimally adorned with TVs, mini-fridges, and loud air-conditioners. Maintenance complaints are fairly rampant, and cleanliness issues aren't uncommon either. The nearby Parador Boquemar offers similar amenities in a marginally nicer package and a prime location across from the beach for less.
