Bottom Line

The 148-room Quality Inn Biloxi is a budget hotel offering decent rooms and features for the price. A huge perk of the property is its position across the street from a public beach, though it can't be seen from guest rooms. Rooms do have flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers, but some furnishings have stains and the carpet needs to be thoroughly cleaned. The outdoor swimming pool, free continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi add to its value. Overall it's a solid economy pick, especially if you're planning on spending time at the beach or the nearby Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. For closer access to the casinos, check out the similar BEST WESTERN Oak Manor.

Quality Inn Biloxi Beach by the Coliseum

Scene

Public spaces more contemporary than guest rooms

Across a main roadway from a long public beach, the Quality Inn Biloxi is a two-story brick building with exterior hallways. A covered entryway lined with large potted plants leads to the large, open lobby. Floor-to-ceiling windows brighten the contemporary space filled with striped armchairs, wooden accent pieces, and a large aquarium. The adjacent breakfast room has similar neutral-tone furniture. The outdoor swimming pool is well kept, but the plastic loungers are worn and need replacing. The hotel primarily attracts budget-minded guests who either want to be near the beach or the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. Kids are a common sight, especially around the swimming pool.

Location

Off Beach Boulevard (U.S. Route 90), across from public beach

For beach-goers, the Quality Inn Biloxi has a prime position across from the public beach, but guests do have to cross a major four-lane roadway to get there. The Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center is a short seven-minute walk away and the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library is under a 10-minute walk. The hotel fills up when there are conventions in town. The Edgewater Mall is a five-minute drive to get to and has several eateries inside and some around it. There's a Waffle House just next to the hotel, but it's out of business. The Beau Rivage and Hard Rock hotels and casinos are both a 12-minute drive away.

Rooms

Dated furnishings, but all rooms have flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers

Decor and furniture is consistent across the 148 rooms at Quality Inn Biloxi. Rooms are fitted in neutral tones -- dated mustard yellow bedspreads, matching patterned armchairs, and medium-stain wood furniture. Guests complain of the green crosshatch carpet being dirty and some bedding shows stains, though beds are reportedly comfortable. There's a work desk and office chair; boating-related black-and-white photos hang on the wall. All rooms have a mini-fridge, microwave, flat-screen TV, and coffeemaker. Bathrooms are clean with shower/tub combos and a separate vanity with hairdryer. Irons and ironing boards are in each room as well. Note that some smoking rooms are available and rooms in the back, away from the pool, are the quietest.
