Sleek and sophisticated boutique hotel with a stylish restaurant
The Cosmo's design is starkly modern, but it still manages to look inviting with its neutral tones. The gray-and-white toned lobby is filled with sofas and brightly colored velvet wingback chairs arranged in seating islands. Light streams in from its floor-to-ceiling windows bordered with pearl-gray chiffon curtains. Elevators are flanked in white marble etched with gray veins. The Scent restaurant is stylish, with raw hardwood floors, a sleek bar, and white paper lanterns, and while the look might not be the most memorable, with its lines of tables and gray chairs, it's an attractive spot to grab a drink or a meal after a day out exploring Berlin.

The hotel sits in front of the entrance to the Spittelmarkt U-Bahn stop, and it’s a 10-minute walk to the museums on Museum Island, a 15-minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie, and a 20-minute walk to Alexanderplatz. There aren't many bars, restaurants, or cafes in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, though. Berlin Tegal Airport is about a 20-minute drive or a 40- to 60-minute ride via public transportation.

The neutral-toned palette used in the lobby softens and becomes more restful in guest rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate dove-gray walls, crisp white bedding, and blonde-wood furnishings. Standard Rooms have charcoal-colored wall-to-wall carpet, while Suites have hardwood floors and tufted satin headboards. Amenities in Standard Rooms include flat-screen satellite TVs, minibars, and small seating areas. Suites add set-off sleeping areas, balconies, and coffeemakers. Bathrooms have sage-colored vanities with oval vessel sinks, and spacious stall showers. (Suites have separate tubs and Asprey toiletries.) They're stocked with hairdryers, robes, and slippers. Note: The rumble of the U-Bahn can be heard in lower-floor rooms.
