Decor is basic and dated
Hotel can be noisy and crowded
This large, busy 413-room hotel has a lively atmosphere and provides many activities for guests, especially those who like to stay active. While the huge pool is a nice asset, the hotel is also close to Benicassim's many beautiful beaches. The 413 rooms are spacious and have balconies, but the decor is simple, generic, and dated. The hotel is family-friendly, and there are a number of activities for children. But the hotel also draws couples, retirees, groups of friends, and groups focused on particular sports, such as cycling and soccer.
Scene
Big, lively hotel with dated decor
This large hotel is bright and spacious, with a grand wood awning greeting guests at the entrance. There are touches of modernity, such as the bold staircase that spirals around the circular elevator, but the hotel is a bit generic and lacks personality in its overall decor. The grounds are covered in palm trees and spans of green lawn. There is a fun, lively atmosphere with a constant influx people attending conferences, festivals, or making a pit stop on a biking tour.
Location
Centrally located near popular beaches
Benicassim is known for its beautiful, well-kept sandy beaches. It is a popular destination for cyclists due to the Via Verde, a coastal bike route that goes from Benicassim to Castellon, another popular beach town. The town also is a huge draw for music lovers, as it is host to the Festival Internacional de Benicàssim** **(FIB), a popular music festival that attracts an international, party-loving crowd. Located off one of the main roads, the hotel is within walking distance to Almadraba and Helipolis Beach, and a 10-minute drive to others. It is also close to many local attractions, such as Church of Santo Tomas and the Municipal Theater of Benicassim, both a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
Rooms
Large, basic rooms with balconies
Rooms are simple and a little dated but generally clean and spacious. The decor is basic, with white walls with wood trimming, light-brown tiled floors, and a framed painting or two on the walls. Beds are a little flat and lack the plushness one would expect from an advertised four-star hotel. The rooms all come with flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, mini-fridges, and balconies with outdoor furniture, and overlook the pool area or the nearby road, depending on which side of the hotel the room is on. Rooms aren't well insulated and tend to be noisy at night due to the many events in the nearby area. Bathrooms are clean but a little drab-looking, with yellow tiled floors, a shower, and toilet. Some of them have glossed wood sinks, but other than that they are pretty generic.
Features
State-of-the-art fitness center, multiple pools, and a bike rental center
Hotel Intur Orange is very sports-centric, with a large, state-of-the-art fitness center with bicycle jerseys framed on the wall, an indoor lap pool, a large soccer field, and even a bike rental center where guests can take out bicycles for the day. The huge outdoor pool is the centerpiece of the hotel, with a large circular stage, a whirlpool, lots of lounge chairs, and a large patio nearby with plenty of seating. Guests can also unwind at the relaxing covered saltwater pool and wood sauna. There is a ton for kids to do from playing mini golf, running around at the playground, playing a game of foosball at the outdoor game room, or going for a swim in the kids' pool. The hotel has one buffet-style restaurant that can seat 400 people. The decor is pretty generic, with basic chairs and tables, but it does have panoramic views of the pool and gardens. There is also a sizable bar room with dark wicker chairs and tables, which is a great place for guests to grab a cocktail. For those traveling on business, there are four large meeting rooms and a 24-hour business center.
