Sunriver Resort -- which offers bike trails, horseback riding, and a small shopping center -- is a 25-minute drive away. Mount Bachelor takes a half-hour to reach by car. It takes around 45 minutes to reach Smith Rock State Park, an iconic high-desert wilderness area known for its gigantic namesake rock formation and excellent rock climbing. The Redmond Municipal Airport takes just under a half-hour to reach by car. Portland is just over three hours away.
