Scene
Luxury mountain ski resort with cozy lodge design and beautiful mountain views
Tucked into quaint Beaver Creek Village, the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa is a luxury year-round mountain getaway that teems in the winter months with guests catching the Buckaroo Express Gondola or ice skating. On the brick terrace at the back of the property, guests often roast s’mores on fire pits, and play horseshoe or cornhole games on the lawns. Indoors, an antler hangs from a pine ceiling over leather chairs that sit fireside in the lobby; there are also windows that offer beautiful mountain views. More lodge-style furniture and a pool table are on the second floor, and newspapers are available in the library. Walt Horton’s signature bear with a bronze child is on display in the common area. This peaceful resort enforces a “family quiet time” that begins in the late evening, so don't expect a wild and raucous mountain vacation. Overall, the property is geared toward leisure travelers -- mainly couples and families -- seeking resort features within walking distance to the ski lift. With more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space and ballrooms, Hyatt Beaver Creek is also a popular venue for conferences and weddings as well.
