Savoy Resort & Spa
Box 400, Beau Vallon, Mahe Island Seychelles

Savoy Resort & Spa is a five-pearl resort with the area's largest swimming pool. It's located in Beau Vallon, with little to do in the immediate area, and is best suited to tourists who plan on taking full advantage of the resort's direct beach access, seven exceptional dining options, wonderful spa, and large gym. The 160 rooms and suites are luxe with flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, minibars, and balconies with striking pool or ocean views. Some suites include kitchenettes and hot tubs. As an alternative, the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa is a similar five-pearl resort with an even more secluded location and an infinity pool.

Coral Strand Smart Choice Hotel Seychelles
Beau Vallon, Mahe Island Seychelles

The mid-range Coral Strand Smart Choice Hotel Seychelles is a large, family-friendly resort located on a beautiful stretch of beach at Beau Vallon Bay, with 163 rooms that include suites and two-bedroom apartments. This could be a four-pearl property (and indeed claims to be), but rooms are quite basic and show some wear. The Coral Strand has water sports, a spa, several bars and restaurants, and plenty of nighttime entertainment for guests who enjoy a party atmosphere. Always crowded, busy, and noisy, guests seeking peace and quiet may want to consider the DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles Alamanda Resort, which is far more stylish, but will cost more as well.

Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Beach Resort and Casino
Bel Ombre Road, Beau Vallon, Mahe Island Seychelles

The 232-room Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino is a big, upper-mid-range hotel on Mahe island with a beautiful private beach, casino, plenty of outdoor sports, and a PADI-certified dive center, among other facilities. There are three restaurants and bars on-site as well as a lovely outdoor pool surrounded by beautiful landscaping and a large sundeck lined with seating. Young ones are catered to with a kids' pool and a playground, while business travelers will find two meeting rooms and a business center, but Wi-Fi incurs an added fee. Guest rooms are simply styled and a bit bland, plus some are due for renovation, but they make for a good base in an area where the outdoor scene is lush and restful. The resort is a 10-minute drive to the capital of Victoria (a free daily shuttle is provided). The nearby Savoy Resort & Spa is a lot more stylish and luxurious, but has more expensive rates.
