The building is older with a fairly plain, generic look. A spacious lobby offers brown leather couches and chairs clustered around plain tables, but minimal decor outside of some potted plants. One unique highlight is a spot where guests can write notes about enjoyable places they visited in Barcelona and stick them to a board to share with other travelers.The chain-like feel carries over to the restaurant, which has a contemporary feel, but not much character (think simple wooden chairs and tables). The Apolo Café has a bit more charm, with an old-timey feel characterized by classic cafe chairs and tables that look to be made of wrought iron and illustrations of performers lining the walls.

The property is situated on a busy street across from a bus stop. It’s a 10-minute walk to the popular pedestrian mall, Las Ramblas. Also, the hotel is a 13-minute walk from the World Trade Center Barcelona business park and 15- to 20-minute drive away from the Fira Barcelona trade fair institution, depending on traffic.

Rooms are bright with light wooden furnishings and wall panels, blue accents, large mirrors in lieu of regular headboards, and carpeting in a neutral color scheme.
