Considering the wall of people on Las Ramblas throughout the day and night, outside noise is surprisingly minimal from the sound proofed rooms, which are clean and modern, but on the small side. There is a bright, adjacent restaurant with quality food and a big breakfast buffet. This hotel is attractive but basic -- there's no fitness center and English TV channels are limited.

Box-like and plain from the outside, the Royal Ramblas Hotel has a modern and classy interior with a small lobby equipped with two lounge areas separated by a classy, partially transparent wall. The bar and lounge area is the better hangout space –- sleek and bright, surrounded by glass walls looking out onto the action on Las Ramblas.

Smack in the center of Barcelona
Literally in the middle of Las Ramblas, Barcelona’s most hopping pedestrian thoroughfare, location is the Royal’s best feature. Steps away from Catalunya Plaza and a few minutes walk to Barcelona Cathedral, the Gothique Quarter, La Boqueria Market, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu, it is possible to access the subway around the corner or catch a bus to the airport or anywhere else in the city just down the street.

The king-size beds take up a large percentage of the rooms at Royal Ramblas Hotel. Rooms are modern and clean, equipped with a mounted flat-screen TV, electric kettle, desk, safe, and small bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Ask for a room with a view of Las Ramblas, otherwise the view is dark, looking onto the adjacent building a couple of meters away.
