Room decor is basic, and some rooms feature two single beds pushed together
Hotel Sagrada Familia is a mid-range hotel two blocks from the famous cathedral of the same name designed by Antoni Gaudi. The rooftop terrace offers views of the cathedral's tall spires. The hotel has a colorful lobby and 84 modern -- but bland -- guest rooms with free Wi-Fi. Rooms surprisingly lack coffeemakers, and some have two twin mattresses pushed together to make a double bed. There’s also a breakfast buffet for a fee, and the hotel offers a discount to a nearby gym with a pool. The funkier, futuristic Room Mate Emma is a popular pick in a similar price range, but is farther from the Sagrada Familia and doesn't have a rooftop terrace.
Scene
Helpful features, such a baggage scale and a big city map, are available for travelers in the colorful lobby.
On a street lined with trees and motorcycles parked on the sidewalks, the Hotel Sagrada Familia is in a convenient location for tourists who want to visit the famous cathedral nearby. The colorful lobby with sky-blue ceilings has a couple of helpful tools for travelers, including a luggage scale and a large map of the surrounding area on the wall near the travel brochures. There is a rooftop terrace where guests can take in the views of the several tall spires of the cathedral. Some families stay here but the clientele is mostly couples, probably in large part due to the small size of the rooms.
Location
Near Sagrada Famila in a residential area
The hotel is two blocks from the Sagrada Familia and the La Sagrada Familia metro station in a residential area. It’s also less than a 10-minute walk to the beautiful Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital, another UNESCO heritage site. There are some restaurants nearby but are more of the chain variety (picture a Domino’s and KFC). The popular La Rambla pedestrian mall is less than a 20-minute commute on public transportation.
Rooms
Up-to-date rooms have IKEA-esque furniture
Rooms here have parquet floors and brown and white walls, and are outfitted with IKEA-like furniture and bedspreads. Superior rooms have furnished tiled balconies with high ledges. All rooms have minibars, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms have shower/tub combinations or glass stand-up shower stalls. Some guests have found the central heating to be overbearing in the winter.

The hotel lacks a full restaurant, gym, and pool.
