The SoCo Hotel is an all-inclusive boutique property located 10 minutes east of Bridgetown. The 24 bright, spacious rooms have balconies with ocean views as well as flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and iPod docks. Common areas are chic, and stylish decor in the lobby, restaurant, and small pool area includes large white candles and clean modern furniture. The beach is spacious and calm, but there aren't any water sport options for guests. Note that there is no fitness center or on-site spa (although spa treatments are available in-room) and some guests complain of traffic noise in the rooms. There's only one restaurant although it gets rave reviews. That said, guests looking for an all-inclusive hotel with more dining options may want to also consider Crystal Cove by Elegant Hotels, which is on the west coast and offers more dining options. Waves Barbados, another all-inclusive property 15-minutes away, has a fitness center as well as free non-motorized water sports.

Stylish and chic, yet relaxing
The first thing many guests will notice about The SoCo Hotel is its modern, clean, and chic decor that looks like it could belong in a Manhattan loft or an upscale South Beach club. The lobby has white couches, glass tables, large white candles, and modern, colorful art. A drink station with ice water and glasses is set up in the corner. Reception is at a small glass desk, which adds to the private, personal feel of the hotel.
The other public spaces, including as the pool area, are decorated similarly, with dark lounge chairs, white cushions, glass tables, and plenty of group seating. The ocean-facing pool is small but adequate for wading and has a bar at one end that closes early. The overall ambience at the hotel is lively but not rowdy, and most of the guests are either couples or groups of friends.

The SoCo Hotel is is located at the end of a mile-long boardwalk, which provides a scenic and convenient path to other sites in the neighborhood. It's a 10-minute drive from the capital city of Bridgetown and the cruise terminal and a 15-minute drive from Grantley Adams International Airport. A number of restaurants are within walking-distance and there's a bus stop directly outside.St. Lawrence Gap, with plenty of restaurants and nightlife, is a six-minute drive from the SoCo, but in the opposite direction. Oistins, famous for its Friday-night Fish Fry, is a seven-minute drive away. The Sandy Lane Country Club Golf Courses and Holetown both take around 20 minutes by car and Harrison's Cave is a 25-minute drive away. Saint Nicholas Abbery and Cherry Tree Hill take 35 minutes to reach by road.

The 24 rooms in The SoCo Hotel share the same ambience and style as the public spaces. The decor is chic but minimal, with neutral art, light wood furnishings, clean, modern bedding on king-sized beds, and a white leather pullout sofas with footrests. Interesting design touches such as white leather nightstands and modern metal lamps add to the style. In-room amenities include iPod docks, large flat-screen TVs with DVD players, safes, kettles, irons and ironing boards, and hairdryers. Rooms are bright and filled with sunlight and have balconies with tables and chairs. All rooms have gorgeous pool and ocean views, even those on lower floors. The bathrooms are not spacious but they’re adequate, and have large walk-in showers and vanities that match the light-wood furnishings in the bedroom. Some guests have complained that you can hear traffic noise in the rooms, especially on the lower floors.

A busy pool/bar area and spacious, scenic beach
The pool area is the most popular part of the SoCo Hotel. Dark wood lounge chairs with white cushions surround a small, circular pool. There is a bar at one end of the pool and a large seating area on the opposite side. As there are only 24 rooms in the hotel, the pool doesn't tend to get too crowded, although some past guests have complained that lounge chairs get taken up quickly. The beach is spacious and picturesque, with a reef that keeps the water calm. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for guests.
The hotel’s single restaurant, The Restaurant at SoCo, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu is la carte and everything is cooked to-order. Guests consistently rave about the quality of the food and the variety of choices. Although there's no business center, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and although there is no on-site spa, in-room treatments and massages are available.
