The ibis Bangkok Riverside, like other hotels in this mid-range chain, is pet-friendly and "green." Sitting
on the Chao Phraya River away from the downtown traffic means it's quiet but also a bit difficult to find. Some rooms have river views and come with flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges. Bathrooms are compact and do not have bathtubs. There are an on-site restaurant and bar, and an outdoor, unheated pool. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, as is parking. A children's play area, a vegetable garden, and a shuttle to the BTS
station round out the amenities.
Scene
A modern "green" hotel
The ibis Bangkok Riverside eco-friendly hotel is minimally designed in a neutral
palette. The black and red seating with tan tile floors makes gives the restaurant a contemporary look, and the buffet area is large and impressive.
Brown wicker furniture and white umbrellas decorates the outdoor
terrace area, and a pretty wood deck leads to the poolside bar.
There’s a foosball table near the bar stools, and trees provide privacy off the
deck. Off the pool area, which also has lovely wood and wicker furniture, is a
kid-friendly playground, a petanque area, and a vegetable garden. A small hut
provides a cozy place to lie down and has river views.
Location
On the Chao Phraya River, away from downtown traffic
Sitting on the Chao Phraya River, about
15- minutes from the central business district, is the ibis Bangkok Riverside.
Homes and shopping encompass the hotel, while Wat Yan Nawa, Patpong Night
Market, Grand Palace, and the MBK Center are within a 15-minute drive away.
Trains and public transportation are within walking distance, but a car or taxi is best bet for getting around the city.
Rooms
Efficiently designed; some rooms have great river views
All rooms follow the ibis' signature design. Rooms consist of hardwood floors, a
single painted red wall, and an abstract art piece, with blond wood built-ins that maximize space. Flat-screen TVs are
housed in a shelving unit built into the wall and desks are connected to
closets with mini-fridges stored in the bottom shelf. There’s generous storage underneath the bed frame and
some rooms have gorgeous river views. Family Rooms have bunk beds adorned with
stuffed animals and a PlayStation/Xbox area with another flat-screen TV.
Coffeemakers and air-conditioning are in all rooms. Cream tile bathrooms have white sinks and
countertops but no bathtubs, only glass-enclosed showers and no toiletries, only a soap dispenser.

pet-friendly providing pets weigh less than 25 pounds.
