Bottom Line

The 337-room Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel is located in the tourist-friendly Inner Harbor, close to shopping, museums, and restaurants. This three-and-a-half pearl high-rise hotel has contemporary but unimaginative decor and run-of-the-mill rooms. Highlights include a modern fitness center and two on-site restaurants. Guests should also consider the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, three blocks east, which has similar amenities but adds a pool.

Scene

A chain hotel geared to business travelers and tourists

Built in 1985 and renovated in 2014, this Sheraton high-rise lacks style, but it’s clean and contemporary. The brown-and-beige lobby is decorated with potted plants, swirly patterned carpets, and leather armchairs. It also features a well-stocked gift shop and a business area with printers and five computer stations. As the official hotel for the Baltimore Orioles baseball team, this Sheraton sells tickets to games and can book seats for groups on the third base line. The hotel’s signature restaurant and bar, Orioles Grille, is named after the team. An upscale Morton’s Steakhouse is connected to the hotel as well, although it’s not run by Sheraton.

Rooms

Rooms have traditional decor, and some have great harbor views

The 337 rooms at the Sheraton Inner Harbor have traditional decor, with white
bedding, dark-wood furniture, and brown walls and carpets. The furniture is
chain-style,  and the artwork offers little local flavor, but  rooms are still
perfectly pleasant. All units include one king or two queen beds, flat-screen TVs, iPod stereos, free bottled water, and coffeemakers with
Starbucks coffee. In-room Wi-Fi comes with a fee, except for Club level rooms. Located on the 15th floor, the Club Rooms are slightly larger and
include access to a 24-hour lounge with free breakfasts and evening snacks. Select upper-level rooms also have excellent views of the harbor. Bathrooms have granite countertops, and shower/tub combos with faux-marble tiles.

Features

Two on-site restaurants and a spacious fitness center

The Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel includes  a well-equipped 24-hour fitness center, a baseball-themed American restaurant and bar, a business center, gift shop, and sauna. Guests can pay extra to use the Club Lounge, which includes free continental breakfast, non-alcoholic beverages all day long, evening snacks, free Wi-Fi, and cocktails for purchase in the evenings. A Morton’s Steakhouse is connected to the lobby and serves dinner only.
