The hotel features 120 contemporary Indonesian rooms that are equipped with air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges. Room categories range from small Standard Rooms that have no opening windows, to bright and spacious Business Suites that feature living rooms, pool views, and balconies. Facilities include a swimming pool with a swim-up bar, a reasonably priced restaurant, Lomi-Lomi Spa, a simple fitness center, and three meeting rooms. Scene
A relaxed atmosphere and some mismatched decor
Permata Kuta Hotel is popular both with vacationers and those in town on business. The ambience is low key and relaxed, but the busy urban location is quite noisy. There are plenty of common areas to relax in and stylings throughout are contemporary, but slightly mismatched, as if the hotel has undergone several rounds of partial decor renovations. The on-site facilities are fairly complete. The pool is somewhat shaded by the hotel buildings, but features a nice setting that includes some tropical greenery and tall palm trees. There are only a few lounge chairs laid out around the pool, but the area rarely gets crowded, as most of the guests who stay here tend to spend their days out exploring downtown Kuta or relaxing on the nearby beaches. The property doesn't feature any open grounds or gardens and there is little greenery, except for the small patches that line the swimming pool.
Location
Busy urban locale, a 10-minute drive from the airport
Permata Kuta's proximity to the airport makes it a great choice as a transit hotel, as the airport is less than a 10-minute drive away, and the hotel provides free airport transfers. The hotel is located on the outskirts of downtown Kuta, along the busy and congested Kediri Street in the Tuban area. The hotel's immediate location features shops, small cafes, and the Park 23 Shopping Mall, which has a cinema, restaurants, retail shops, and a water park. Popular attractions like Waterbom Bali and Discovery Shopping Mall are a 10- to 15-minute drive away. The hotel is a bit of a trek from popular tourist locales like Legian and Kuta Beach, which are both around a 20- to 30-minute drive from the hotel.
Rooms
Simple and equipped with air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges
The Rooms at Permata Kuta Hotel are clean and polished with mostly contemporary stylings. All room types have similar stylings and layouts, though lower category rooms are much more cramped. Higher category room types feature balconies with outdoor seating and pool views, but lower category rooms are a bit stuffy and dark, as these lack balconies and opening windows. Business Suites are the nicest room type available. These are spacious and feature living rooms with comfy upholstered couches. All interiors have sparse white walls, light colored marble floors, dark wood veneer furniture, small colorful paintings, and carved limestone reliefs. Rooms are outfitted with comfy beds, work desks and chairs, bench seats, and roomy wardrobes. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, safes, and kettles.
En-suite bathrooms are mostly modernly and clean, and are tiled in light colored marble. Bathrooms in the higher category rooms feature roomy vanities with large mirrors, deep soaking tubs, and separate shower cubicles. Whereas, the bathrooms in the lower category rooms are cramped and have shower/tub combos or showers only. Hairdryers and toiletries are provided. Note that rooms are poorly soundproofed and noise levels from the street are high.
