The hotel is a bit off the beaten path for nightlife, but there are many restaurants and shops in the area. Features include an outdoor swimming pool with swim-up bar, plus a small spa and fitness center. The bistro restaurant serves an ample breakfast buffet (for a fee), plus Indonesian and international cuisine for lunch and dinner. The 79 rooms are done in French Colonial style, and come with minibars, free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs. Villas with private outdoor plunge pools are also available. Those looking to stay in this area for a little less might consider the nearby Alea Hotel Seminyak, though rooms there have less charm.
Scene
Simple upper-middle-range hotel with French Colonial decor and a low-key social vibe
Maison at C Seminyak is set back from the main road, so it has a quiet setting. The hotel is housed in a French Colonial-inspired building on lush grounds with trees, shrubs, and colorful flowers. The indoor open-air lobby is an interesting and appealing space. It has a mix of French Colonial and Balinese elements, with Balinese statuary, big urns, striped and floral-print armchairs, and a wall of photos of Bali. A few quirky touches are provided by the wall covered in clocks and the front of a red London phone booth on one wall. Guests gather around the outdoor pool, surrounded by a landscaped deck with lime-green sunbeds, colorful beanbag style chairs, and a covered alcove with bright-green cushion. The hotel draws mostly couples, given its decor, spacious rooms, pool, and quiet location not far from the beach. However, it isn't great for families with children, since it has neither kids' activities nor a kid-friendly pool.
Location
Quiet north Seminyak location, about a 10-minute drive from Petitenget Beach
The Maison at C is in northern Seminyak, a bit off of the main road in a quiet area. The hotel provides buggy service out to the main road -- it runs 24 hours a day upon request. There isn't as much commercial activity in this area as in other sections of Seminyak, but there are still a number of shops, restaurants, and bars within a 10-minute walk, though travelers wanting an abundance of nightlife will want to look elsewhere. The closest stretch of beach is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Petitenget Beach and the area with Pura Petitenget temple, La Lucciola restaurant, and Potato Head Beach Club is a five-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the hotel. A free hotel shuttle runs a few times daily to and from Petitenget Beach, Potato Head, and Seminyak Square. Ku De Ta restaurant on Seminyak Beach is known for its sunsets, and is a 10-minute drive. The area around Ku De Ta is home to lots of nightclubs and the Eat Street restaurants. Expect a 25-minute drive to Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Features
Outdoor swimming pool, spa and simple fitness center, and bistro restaurant
One of the highlights at the Maison at C Seminyak is its long outdoor swimming pool. It gets ample sun all day, good for those looking to work on their tan but not as ideal for guests who want a respite from the heat. The pool has a few umbrellas and a covered alcove but these are often occupied right away. The hotel offers daily poolside activities, including Bahasa Indonesian language lessons, Canang (Balinese prayer rituals), cocktail-making classes, and Balinese massage demonstrations. The pool has a swim-up bar, and the indoor open-air bistro restaurant and bar overlooks the pool. The restaurant serves a good-quality breakfast buffet (fee for most bookings) with a cooked-to-order egg station. Indonesian and international fare are available for lunch and dinner, and room service is offered 24/7. The spa has a small selection of Balinese massages and aromatherapy. The fitness center is limited to a plyometric ball, a few pieces of cardio equipment, and some light dumbbells, but no weight machines or extensive free weights.
