This quietly sophisticated hotel feels far removed from the busy tourist throngs that crowd Kuta's streets, despite being just a stone's throw away from the action. A favorite of couples and Australian tourists, the property also tends to draw families, who congregate around the gorgeous pools sipping cocktails while their kids splash around. A calm vibe also pervades the elegant, open-air lobby, which has the pitched roof, slick tile, low-lying couches, and rattan touches typical of many Balinese properties. Pretty potted orchids lend pops of bright white atop the wooden front desk and table at the center of the room. Fantastic ocean views can be seen from floor-to-ceiling windows inside Hitana Restaurant, where jeweled chandeliers offer fantastic contrast to simple wood and rattan furnishings.
