Scene
A tranquil and serene health and wellbeing retreat set along the Jati river valley
It's no surprise that the atmosphere here is tranquil, serene, and perfectly suited to deep rest and rejuvenation -- since wellness is the name of the game. The grounds are artfully sculpted in a classical Balinese style and the villas are spaced far apart along the sprawling acreage, offering guests a high level of privacy. Facilities are fully immersed in the natural surroundings, with the main pool, spa, and yoga shalas all overlooking the Jati River and lush valley. This peaceful and natural setting plays a huge part in the experience at the Sejati Spa, which offers beauty, massage, and holistic Ayurvedic treatments. The main pool is tiled in natural stone and features a covered seating area, plenty of lounge chairs, and a poolside bar. It's no surprise that the hotel is most popular with couples, owing to it's secluded and romantic setting. It's also frequented by single travelers that come for the hotel's health and wellbeing treatment packages or just to get away from it all. Guests should note that the hotel's terrain is rugged and somewhat challenging, with winding pathways and long flights of stairs throughout. It's also not the safest for young children as there are many steep cliffs along the property.
Location
In a scenic remote village 45 minutes from downtown Ubud and two hours from Kuta
The wellness retreat has a peaceful location in the foothills of Ubud, in the scenic Sebatu Village, a 20-minute drive from the iconic Ceking Rice Terraces. The location is idyllic yet remote, and the nearest dining and shopping options are over a 45-minute drive away, in central Ubud. Popular outdoor activities in the area include village treks and cycling tours. The hotel does provides tour arrangements services but there are numerous adventure companies in the area that offer more affordably priced tour arrangements. Other attractions near the hotel include the Elephant Safari Park Lodge Bali and the Tirta Empul Water temple -- both take around 25 minutes to reach from the hotel. Mount Batur, Kintamani offers breathtaking views, especially for those willing to get up before dawn and hike to the summit at sunrise, and is around an hour away from the hotel. Kuta and the airport both take around two hours to reach from the hotel.
