Overlooking Nassau Harbor on Paradise Island, Warwick Paradise Island is an upscale adults-only resort with 250 rooms and suites. All rooms come with solid amenities and many have balconies with views out over the harbor. The white sand beach at Warwick Paradise Island features a small, enclosed swimming area, lounge chairs, and free snorkeling equipment. There's also a huge lagoon pool with plenty of lounge chairs to go around. The all-inclusive package includes tips and covers a wide variety of a la carte and buffet restaurants offering everything from pan-Asian fare to pizza. Wellness facilities are also extensive, with a gym, tennis, basketball, and the lovely Amber Spa. Overall, it's a good value for the area, but guests with kids under 16 will need to look elsewhere, such as the nearby Reef at Atlantis.
Scene
Compact adults-only all-inclusive property that's one of the more modern on Paradise Island
The Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas makes a nice alternative to the other mega-resorts that call Paradise Island home. While it's not exactly boutique-sized, it does have a more intimate vibe than the many Atlantis Resorts also found in the area. The Warwick is housed in a tall tower building overlooking Nassau Harbor. It's compact, well-maintained, and colorful, with a bright lobby adorned with pink-and-yellow walls, chairs, light fixtures and artwork plus cosy seating areas and a pool table to invites lingering. In fact, interiors are far more contemporary than some of its more famous neighbors. Keep in mind that the Warwick Paradise Island is adults only, and children under 16 are not allowed (except to attend weddings).
Location
On the southern coast of Paradise Island, a quick drive into Nassau
The resort is located right on the southern shore of Paradise Island overlooking the Nassau Harbour and about a 10-minute drive from the Nassau Straw Market on the main tourist drag, East Bay Street. Paradise Island is dominated by resorts and restaurants. You might be wondering, "How far is Warwick Paradise Island from Atlantis?" Only about 10 minutes on foot. Nassau Airport is about a 25-minute drive away.
Rooms
Sunny, cheery rooms with colorful decor and big windows, many with views out over the harbor and some with balconies
Rooms at the Warwick Paradise Island come in a number of categories, distinguishable from one another by their views and layouts. Amenities found across all categories include coffeemakers, mini-fridges, individually controlled air-conditioning, digital safes, and flat-screen TVs with cable (including HBO).
Rooms start at just under 300 square feet (28 square meters) and have either two double beds or one king, plus either inland views or views out over Nassau Harbor. Water View Rooms lack balconies, while Harbour Rooms feature private balconies, each with two chairs and a table. Harbour Premium Rooms are just a tad larger, at 325 square feet (30 square meters), while One-Bedroom Harbourfront Suites add second balconies along with living rooms and bedrooms. Note that the only accessible rooms available here fall into the Island View King category.
Decor is cheery and bright across the board, with light-wood floors, black-and-white striped area rugs, yellow tables and matching upholstered chairs, bright throw cushions, and colorful framed wall art on off-white walls. Floor-to-ceiling windows or sliding glass doors let in lots of natural light. Bathrooms are simple but not unpleasant, with wooden counters, vessel sinks, make-up mirrors, and hairdryers. Most have shower/tub combos, but the One-Bedroom Harbourfront Suites have separate walk-in showers and soaking tubs
Features
Beach at the Warwick Paradise Island with small swimming area, plus a huge lagoon pool, Amber Spa, and entertainment
This resort has a number of features for those who want to stay active or relax. The white-sand beach at the Warwick Paradise Island borders turquoise waters, with a couple of rows of lounge chairs plus a sectioned-off area in the water for guests to safely swim away from any boats. Snorkeling equipment is also available to borrow, free of charge. Alternatively, the Warwick operates a shuttle to nearby Cabbage Beach, which includes box lunches, sun beds, and umbrellas. The resort also has a gargantuan lagoon-style pool surrounded by loungers and palm trees, with a couple islands in the center, one of which is connected to the pool deck by a bridge and features more lounge chairs, still. There's also a small whirlpool tub off to one side.
Fitness and wellness facilities excel at the Warwick Paradise Island as well, with a 24-hour gym that features LifeCycle cardio machines and weight-training equipment plus tennis courts, basketball, and pool and beach volleyball. For something more relaxing, Amber Spa at the Warwick offers massages and beauty treatments, including waxing services, and has couples rooms and seaside massage services available. Golf privileges are available at nearby courses, but check with the resort on rates and restrictions.
The hotel puts on live entertainment every evening at Junkanoo Beat, a nightlife venue that also doubles as a rainy-day activity space, with billiards, foosball, pinball, and table tennis along with karaoke, bands, DJs, and dance classes. Warwick Paradise Island also offers event space for meetings and weddings, with a variety of wedding packages available (including free elopements for those staying five nights or longer). Wi-Fi is free throughout the resort and there's a small gift shop in the lobby for sundries and souvenirs.
All-Inclusive / Food
All-inclusive rates cover all drinks, meals, and tips, with a large selection of bars and restaurants to choose from
The resort's all-inclusive package is generous and includes all drinks, meals, snacks, and activities. You might also be wondering, "Are tips included at Warwick Paradise Island?" The answer is yes -- as are taxes -- so there's really no need to carry cash while you're on-site. Dining options here include the all-day buffet restaurant, Verandah, which offers indoor and outdoor seating, Italian dinner options at Abbiocco, pan-Asian fare at Tings on a Stick, and steak and seafood at Edgewater Grill. There's also a pool bar and restaurant, Chickcharnie’s Pizzeria & Grille, with fast casual fare all day and well into the night plus two additional bars: Hog Bar and Rum Cay Lobby Bar. Room service is available around the clock.
The Deluxe Day Pass at Warwick Paradise Island means that outside visitors can come to the resort the day and take full advantage of all of the facilities (including all-inclusive dining and the pool). Night passes are also available for purchase. While this is a great perk for those not staying at the resort, it does mean things can get crowded at times.
