Napa Prince Hotel Apartments
Tefkrou Anthia 65 St

Napa Prince Hotel Apartments is a three-pearl apartment hotel with 39 Studios and One-Bedroom units. Its location a 10-minute walk from the town center makes it a good choice for clubbers (the infamous Castle Club is under 10 minutes away on foot), but it's not on the beach (expect a 12-minute walk to Katsarka Beach), which may put some people off. Apartments are spacious and nicely maintained; they come with fully equipped kitchens and sofa beds for extra guests. While most people come here for the self-catering option, there are meal plans available at the bar/restaurant, situated right next to the hotel's sunny centerpiece pool. Those willing to forego easy access to nightclubs in order to be right on the beach may want to consider a stay at the much larger Callisto Holiday Village instead.

Grecian Bay Hotel
Kryou Nerou Street

Grecian Bay Hotel is a four-pearl resort with excellent facilities, located right on Pantachou Beach in Ayia Napa, a short stroll into town. The 271 rooms here range quite a bit, but even the entry-level Standard Rooms have balconies and satellite TV, and many have sea views. While the rooms are sleek and pleasant, it's the facilities that really stand out at this property, especially the lovely sandy beach with thatched parasols and generally calm waters. There's also a lovely swimming pool with a kids' splash pool, plus a playground, tennis courts, and a lovely spa. Unsurprisingly for a resort of this size, there are a good number of bars and restaurants, and while full-board packages are available, there's no true all-inclusive option. Those looking for all-inclusive rates may want to consider the sister resort, Hotel Grecian Sands, just a few minutes' walk down the road.

Grecian Sands Hotel
44 Kryo Nero Ave, P.O Box 30216

Grecian Sands Hotel is an upscale resort property with 177 rooms and suites on Glyki Nero Beach, right by Ayia Napa's sculpture garden. All units have balconies and air-conditioning and though they're pleasant overall, some show signs of wear and tear. Although this resort has an all-inclusive option, guests may want to consider just going for bed-and-breakfast or half-board, because while there are several restaurants to choose from, the food is nothing special. Standout features include an elevated private beach, large outdoor pool area, and fun kids' club, plus a spa, a tennis court, and a fitness center with cardio and training equipment. Like many Cyprus resorts, this property closes every winter for a few months, though the nearby sister property -- Grecian Bay -- stays open year round.

Nestor Hotel
1st October Street 8

The 206-room, upper-middle-range Nestor Hotel is conveniently located between Ayia Napa’s historic city center and its beautiful beaches. The lovely pool and relaxing spa make it a popular pick for couples, and the wading pool and playground appeal to families. Free breakfast and an all-inclusive option at the main buffet are available, plus a good a la carte restaurant for variety. Neutral-tone rooms have modest decor, mini-fridges, kettles, and flat-screen TVs, as well as furnished balconies. Upgrades include jetted showers, espresso machines, or bunk beds for kids. Families seeking a beach vacation might prefer Adams Beach Hotel, with its lazy river and two waterslides on-site to appeal to children.

Loutsiana Hotel Apts
Nissi Avenue

This 41-room, mid-range hotel is in a quiet spot a short bus ride from Aiya Napa’s beaches and party scene on the island of Cyprus. Most studios have up-to-date decor, flat-screen TVs, toasters, kettles, and mini-fridges. Apartments, meanwhile, are dated, but they include stovetops and more cookware -- a draw for travelers looking to save on dining out. The restaurant also serves decent meals and there’s a lovely pool with a built-in whirlpool. Extra costs for things like air-conditioning, breakfast, Wi-Fi, and in-room safes can add up depending on the package purchased, leaving some guests feeling nickel-and-dimed. Compare rates with Panas Holiday Village, which is a similar property that's closer to the beach and town.

Atlantica Sungarden Beach
46 Kryou Nerou Avenue

The 257-room Atlantica Club Sungarden Hotel is a mid-range, chain hotel with an all-inclusive option, a gorgeous infinity pool with sea views, and a lovely terrace restaurant. There is plenty of kids entertainment including an animation team and an outdoor playground. A separate lagoon pool has a swim up bar and food general receives positive reviews. Located within a seven-minute drive from the nightlife and restaurants of Ayia Napa, this hotel has a rocky beach -- many guests sunbathe on the nearby lawn instead. One alternative pick with a beautiful sandy beach is the Alion Beach Hotel.

Adams Beach Hotel
Nissi Avenue

The 376-room Adams Beach Hotel is a big resort with an impressive complex of pools, water slides, and a lazy river. Located on Nissi Bay within a 10-minute drive of central Ayia Napa, this resort is on a beautiful beach, though it is small and can get crowded. There is a variety of restaurants and bars on-site, and the peaceful, adults-only Deluxe Wing may be a good upgrade choice for those traveling without children. Some of the rooms are outdated with small bathrooms, but there is great children's entertainment with a playground and kids club. Guests may also want to consider the popular Olympic Lagoon Resort which isn't on the ocean, but also offers a lazy river and a variety of restaurants.

Napa Mermaid Hotel and Suites
Kryou Nerou 45

The 150-room Napa Mermaid Hotel and Suites is a chic, upscale hotel with posh common areas and gorgeous sea views. The hotel is within a five-minute drive from the nightlife and restaurants of central Ayia Napa. There’s no beach here, but there is a sleek pool with cushiony lounge chairs. The hotel has a chic cocktail bar with indoor and outdoor seating as well as a buffet restaurant, fine dining restaurant, and pool snack bar. Guests find standard rooms to be a bit small, but the premium rooms are modern and lovely. Guests wanting to be nearer to the sea may want to check out the Alion Beach Hotel that offers access to a sandy beach.

Callisto Holiday Village
Nissi Aveunue

The 344-room Callisto Holiday Village is a chain hotel with an all-inclusive option located on a beautiful, sandy beach with a seaside tavern and water sports facility. The no-frills rooms have kitchenettes and an all-inclusive plan is available. Located within a five-minute drive of the nightlife and restaurants of central Ayia Napa, this hotel has a large pool with a shallow end for children, but can get crowded (and lounge chairs are often reserved very early). Families traveling with children may want to look into the family-friendly Atlantica Club Sungarden Hotel that has a popular animation team.

Electra Holiday Village
1 Petraris Street, Water Park Resort

The 124-room Electra Holiday Village is a chain hotel home to a fantastic water park with fountains, several waterslides, a lazy river, and a wave pool. Located just off a rocky beach and within a five-minute drive of the nightlife and restaurants of central Ayia Napa, this hotel has an all-inclusive plan, a pool snack bar, and entertainment for kids with an animation team and outdoor playground. Spacious rooms are a touch outdated (and cleaning services have been questioned) but they do have kitchenettes. Couples looking for a more grown-up hotel may want to consider the Napa Plaza Hotel, which isn't on the beach, but has a variety of bars and restaurants and fewer children.
