Sitting on a street lined with shops and stores in a lively, popular section of Plaka, the hotel has a small wooden front desk and a lobby with brown couches, green-and-white checkered floors, and a luggage scale. A modest business area looks like a home office with a single computer and printer and a shelf with a small library of books for guests to peruse. The hallway decor is uninspiring, but the views from the rooftop bar are spectacular. Weather permitting, guests can enjoy evening cocktails while sitting on big wicker chairs and gazing at the Acropolis.

The hotel is located on a busy street less than a 15-minute walk from the Parthenon and Acropolis and near several other popular locales like the Museum of Greek Folk Art and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, both to the south. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby as well, including Monastiraki Flea Market. The hotel is also two blocks from the Monastiraki metro, with direct lines to Athens International Airport and Piraeus Port, and is a short walk from Syntagma Square station, where guests can take a bus to the airport as well.

Rooms are generally small with neutral walls and light-wood furnishings. Decor does vary a bit, from deep blue curtains to teal bedspreads to whimsical pillows featuring quotes from Greek philosophers. Guests recommend reserving a higher room with views of the Acropolis, Mount Lycabettus, or the neighborhood of Plaka in general. Bathrooms were updated in 2012 and have standup showers or shower/tub combinations. Some rooms have flat-screen TVs, while others still have tube sets. All rooms have mini-fridges and free Wi-Fi.
