by foliage and plants, it's a 30-minute bus-ride to the Acropolis. There’s
a large communal kitchen for guests' use, and rooms come
with refrigerators that each contain a bottle of filtered water.
Rooms are large and clean; some have balconies, and others have small garden
areas. There are curved doorways throughout the property, giving it a charming
Greek feel, although this budget property is certainly no-frills.

Authentically Greek ambience can be found inside and out at this family-friendly hotel, but decor is dated.
The property is located on a quiet street filled stray cats and parked motorbikes. The building has whitewashed walls
with powder-blue touches and an attractive orange-tiled roof. The breakfast room has a rooftop terrace with Acropolis views. There’s plenty of white
wicker chairs and green plants, making it a relaxing place to hang out.
The space could benefit from some umbrellas, though, to shade guests from the roasting
Athenian sun. With dated decor throughout and few features (but generally low rates), the hotel is popular with budget-conscious couples and families who prefer to stay away from the noise and frenzy of downtown Athens.

The Exarcheia neighborhood where the hotel is located is artsy and bohemian -- a strip of reasonably priced restaurants can be found nearby. The area has a residential vibe (it’s full
of students and local artists), and is also close to the
clubs and bars. Once a wealthy neighborhood, it is crammed with Neoclassical
buildings. The green surroundings of Strefi Park are right next to the
hotel, as is the National Archaeological Museum, which is within a 10-minute walk. Kolonaki, a well-heeled Greek neighborhood, is also within a 20-minute walk, as are Syntagma Square and the Hellenic Parliament. The Acropolis is a 20-minute bus ride or a 30-minute walk away.

Basic but clean, all rooms com with air-conditioning and flat-screen TVs -- and some have views of the Acropolis.
Rooms come in different sizes: Double, Triple, and Quadruple.
Some have wood-paneled walls and ceilings, which give them a super cozy (or dated, depending on your view) retro vibe that recalls the 1960s. Balconies overlook other houses and the foliage that surrounds the building, or the hills of Lofos Strefi. Other rooms have front gardens. A few rooms have more modern decor, with
lighter-colored walls and snazzier bedding, but all have pillow-top mattresses, air-conditioning, mini-fridges, small flat-screen TVs, coffee-making facilities, and bathrooms with
shower/tub combos. Some rooms are quite small.
