It begins to feel slightly ethereal, and the color scheme does little to hide wear and tear, which is especially noticeable in some rooms and hallways. The Athens Diamond Plus is conveniently located for exploring the city's major historic sights on foot. It's within walking distance of many of the city's attractions, including the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, the Temple of Zeus, and the Plaka. Just off Ermou Street, the hotel is on a small but busy street surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. Syntagma Square just down the road, where there are buses and a metro stop, making it easy to get around the greater city as well. The hotel is about a 40-minute ride to the airport.

Reasonably sized, bright white, and simple, many with private balconies
Like the halls and other common areas, rooms at the Athens Diamond Plus are bright and decorated in white and gold (with a green accent wall here or there). Apart from the stark whitewashing, it's a fun and quirky aesthetic that takes inspirations both from ancient Grecian ruins and Philippe Starck, although the prints of diamond and emerald necklaces on the walls spill over into the realm of kitsch. Rooms are large enough, with space for a vanity and chair, and mirrors to bounce light. Some furniture and walls show wear-and-tear -- especially evident thanks to the white color scheme -- but everything is in reasonably good condition. Bathrooms are on the small side, but generally clean and bright, and all have a walk-in hydromassage shower. Many rooms have balconies, as well. While Deluxe Rooms are larger, there is little more functional space than in Standard Rooms, and they may not be worth the upgrade; Suites, on the other hand, are more substantial. All rooms have a small flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, and free Wi-Fi.
