In honor of LiLo's most recent snafu, we at Oyster.com decided to take a look back at the most memorable celebrity uh-ohs in hotel history. And trust us, there have been plenty. After all, when celebs basically live in hotels, they're bound to get a little rowdy, rude, rambunctious -- you name it -- while staying in a luxe spot. And though Lindz may have it down to a science these days, she's only following the example set by numerous celebs before her who have taken their star status a little too far. Trashed suites, accosted employees, terrified hookers -- plenty of celebrities have left quite a wake behind them in some of the ritziest hotels in the country. So okay, Lohan may not be the "hotel havoc" trailblazer, but since she's been doing such a fine job with it recently, we'll start with her.
The Hotel: Dream Downtown
The Offense: Just last week, Lohan was arrested after a hit-and-run outside of the hip Dream Downtown. After the actress [Ed. note: She still acts, right?] spent the night partying it up at the hotel's exclusive nightclub, she hopped into her Porsche to call it a night. And we guess she was really ready to get home, because despite reportedly hitting a restaurant employee (who sustained a knee injury), she continued to speed away. NYPD later arrested Lohan on charges of causing an injury and leaving the scene of an accident.
The Hotel: Chateau Marmont
The Offense: She's baaaack! Just a few weeks before the Dream incident, LiLo was at a different hotel, but was still having issues -- this time of the whole "skipping on the bill" variety (oh, you have to pay for a room?!). Lohan stayed at the Chateau Marmont for several weeks this summer and racked up a bill of over $46,000. But when the hotel came calling to collect, she claimed that she thought Lifetime, the company she was filming with at the time [Ed. note: So we guess she is still an actress -- if Lifetime counts as a legitimate channel, that is], would be paying for her stay and expenses.
The Hotel: The Plaza
The Offense: In one of the most infamous scenes of hotel destruction, Charlie Sheen was found naked and drunk --surrounded by overturned and broken furniture, no less -- when police were called to the actor's hotel suite back in 2010. While on a family trip with his ex-wife and daughters (who were staying in a separate suite down the hall), Sheen reportedly went into a manic mode and trashed his hotel room after returning with a hooker in the wee hours of the morning. Like Lohan, Sheen is a repeat offender: This summer he supposedly wreaked havoc on his suite at the Ritz.
The Hotel: Wynn Las Vegas
The Offense: Back in 2010 (you know when she was, like, still sorta relevant), hotel heiress Paris Hilton was arrested right outside of the Wynn in Las Vegas. A routine traffic stop ending up holding up the reality star's check-in at the luxury resort when a police officer spotted a bag of cocaine in Paris's purse, and she plead guilty to drug possession. The hotel subsequently banned the party girl from staying at the hotel, but it has since been lifted.
The Hotel: Mercer Hotel
The Offense: The Aussie was already known for having a short fuse, but the world saw how bad his temper could really get when Crowe was unable to make a phone call while staying at the SoHo hotel in 2005. The actor admitted that his reaction -- in which he threw a phone at the Mercer's concierge -- was "possibly the most shameful situation that I've ever gotten myself in…and I've done some pretty dumb things." But all's well that ends well (and with a nice cash bonus, to boot) -- Crowe and the concierge settled the case for an undisclosed sum, and the hotel officially forgave the actor. Aww, how nice.
The Hotel: Berns Hotel
The Offense: The cause of the argument is still unclear -- and will we ever really know? But what we do know is that the Guns N Roses frontman was arrested back in 2006 as the result of what started as a verbal altercation with a woman in the Stockholm hotel's lobby. Soon enough, however, the fight had escalated and Rose had broken a vase and an antique mirror -- as well as the skin of a guard, whom the singer bit when he stepped in to break it up.
The Hotel: The Mark
The Offense: It happened nearly twenty years ago and it's still the hotel trashing to beat. In 1994, police were called to The Mark in the early hours of the morning as guests were awoken by a disturbance coming from the hotel's presidential suite. Upon entering the suite, officers found Depp and then-girlfriend Kate Moss surrounded by the aftermath of the ultimate hotel trashing -- which ended up costing Depp nearly $10,000. What they didn't find? The armadillo Depp claimed was responsible for the damage (shocker).
