Some of the most famous hot dogs in the world

A family-owned hot dog stand since 1939, Pink's (709 North La Brea Avenue) serves some of the most famous hot dogs in the country. Often, the line out its door stretches down La Brea Boulevard and it can sometimes take an hour to place an order (especially late at night, after the bars close), but most people swear that the wait is well worth it. Inside, the walls are covered in autographed head shots of the most famous of the famous. Part of the fun is reading all the testimonials from your favorite movie and television stars, dating back to the 40s!

While it may not be the best chili dog you'll ever try, it will certainly be the most memorable. Try one of their own inventions, like the Millenium Dog (a $7 12-inch sausage with guacamole and bacon), the Mulholland Drive Dog (a 10-inch dog with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, nacho cheese, and bacon), or the Three Dog Night (three hot dogs wrapped in a giant tortilla, three slices of cheese, and three slices of bacon, chili, and onions). There are even options for vegans and vegetarians, and kids will love their good old-fashioned hot dog.

Located at the corner of Melrose and La Brea, Pink's is close to both Hollywood and West Hollywood hotels.
