The Punch Bowl is a fruity, summer cocktail served with a spiffy straw with a spoon on the bottom to help guests scoop out bits of apple, orange, and strawberries. It’s a great selection, for those who like fruity.
This was certainly one of the prettiest colored drinks we encountered in Chicago. Served in a martini glass with a slice of cucumber, it was a smooth and fruity with the distinct taste of cucumber.
Rebar description: A spectacular & delicious mix of Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne, St. Germain and fresh berries. This was by far the prettiest drink we saw in Chicago – and at $28 was the most expensive. So much so that we had people from other tables asking what we had ordered. It went onto their menu for New Years Eve last year and managed to earn a permanent spot. But the taste was, for me, not as impressive as the look.
The Fall Into Manhattan was the crowd favorite – even among the non-whisky drinkers. This beverage was less to look at than some of their others, but spice infused whiskey created a flavor experience well worth having.
Rebar description: A festive delight of pumpkin liqueur, godiva white and vanilla vodka with a hint of cinnamon for the season. Awesome, but best in small doses. The drink is very creamy and the cinnamon plays a dominant role along with the pumpkin. It’s also a very rich drink.
