Las Vegas pool parties heat up in time for summer
Summer is coming, which in Las Vegas means one thing: POOL PARTIES! Wet, wild, debauchery-filled pool parties.
The parties at some hotels have already kicked off, while others will get underway within a few weeks. The above photo is from the Wet Republic pool party at MGM Grand, which kicked off on March 12 this year and has been known to attract celebrities, world-famous DJs, and thousands of young partygoers.

Moorea Beach Club, the adults-only area of Mandalay Bay's 11-acre pool complex, opened for the season a few weeks ago. The two pools here are small, perhaps because Mandalay Bay knows that day-time partying is hardly about the swimming. Moorea is open all week unless there's no demand, and topless sunbathing is always allowed.
TAO Beach, which sits above the TAO restaurant and nightclub at The Venetian, kicks off on April 5 this year. But don't be deceived by our photo -- this party gets as packed as the rest of them (though there's a separate, calmer area for those who actually want to swim and sunbathe). "European sunbathing" (a.k.a. topless sunbathing) is allowed Monday through Friday.
The first day of Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (which takes place every Sunday during summer months) will be on April 18. This weekly party, now entering its seventh season, is the Grand Poobah of poolside parties in Vegas, so prudes beware. The hotel's website claims that a special guest will be in attendance on the 18th, but no word yet on who it will be.
The pools at the Palms Casino Resort opened in mid-February this year, a bit earlier than usual, and the weekly Ditch Fridays pool party launches on May 7. The main pool complex can fit up to 2,500 people, so bring your bikini bod and your wandering eyes and be prepared to mingle.
