Jersey Shore cast to wreak havoc on Miami's South Beach

We caught wind on Tuesday (thanks, Gawker) that season 2 of MTV's Jersey Shore will film in none other than Miami's party central, South Beach. After getting over our initial confusion about the move (I thought the premise of Jersey Shore was that it takes place on the .. um .. Jersey Shore), we realized that there's actually a ton of potential for booze-fueled debauchery in Miami. If the cast has to move somewhere, South Beach may just be the perfect fit.

If you're hoping to catch a glimpse of Snooki, DJ Pauly D, and the rest of the GTL crew -- or hoping to steer clear of them at all costs -- here's where we expect them to be partying this season:

  • Best place to show off their hair gel: Clevelander Hotel

  • It's pretty much a shore bet that the cast will wind up here, because, well, the place just screams Jersey Shore. There's a dance club, a pool surrounded by four bars, and two rooftop lounges. Located in SoBe's party epicenter at 10th and Ocean Drive, this place is one huge boozefest and proud of it.

  • Best place to blow their new-found dough: Delano Hotel

  • Normally I'd say this place is a little (or a lot) too classy for the cast of Jersey Shore, but when you're starring on a hit TV show, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Plus now the cast is making a bazillion dollars per episode, and their money is as good as anybody else's (I think…). We won't be surprised to see the cast lounging by the Delano's very sexy pool by day or guzzling overpriced drinks at the sceney bars (namely the Florida Room nightclub, Rose Bar, and the pool bar) by night.

  • Best place to get their kinky hot tub fix: The Standard Miami

  • It's a mile from South Beach, but this hotel is passionately hip and exudes sex. The pool overlooking the ocean and the waterfall hot tub -- which they don't clean with bleach -- are open 24 hours a day, which means things can get a little raunchy (ahem, Snooki and Mike). The Lido Spa is the hotel's main draw and has coed facilities (Turkish hamam, sauna, steam room) and playful treatments like body painting with mud (they encourage a friend to blast you clean with a hose -- maybe Snooki can follow through on her threat of lesbianism). Oh, the weekly parties won't hurt either.

The infinity pool at Shore Club

The infinity pool at Shore Club

  • Best place to work on the "T" of GTL (using actual sun): Shore Club

  • The beachfront Shore Club prides itself on being a see-and-be-seen kind of place, so where better to get a tan (with real sun!) on the sand or poolside. With a boisterous infinity pool where DJs spin the latest hits and celebrity-fueled bars and restaurants, this hotel is the perfect place to tan by day and be in the spotlight by night. (Plus when they're done boozing, a 24-hour gym means they can work on the G of GTL, too.)

  • Best place to spread fist pumping to their Miami brethren: Gansevoort South

  • Although far from the action on the north edge of South Beach, this chic hotel has two pools and the largest rooftop lounge in the country. We spotted plenty of muscles, tight jeans, and tanned skins getting their drink on here, though they were more hipster than Jersey. We can't wait for everyone's favorite cast member to mix and mingle with the stylish, South Florida crowd and (hopefully!) spread the fist-pumping love (start by banging on the ground…). Hey, maybe their accents will catch on, too.
