Insider's Look at the Ventana Inn & Spa: Where Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied Celebrated Their Nuptials

Last Saturday, the notoriously private Natalie Portman and her baby daddy Benjamin Millepied tied the knot in front of family and friends in Big Sur. While the ceremony took place at a private home overlooking the ocean, the party moved to the luxurious Ventana Inn & Spa for the reception, where the newlyweds and guests noshed on a vegan menu and danced the night away. Situated on more than 200 acres of picturesque land, The Ventana Inn & Spa is an exclusive spa resort that nonetheless looks like a rustic cabin nestled in the woods -- making it a perfect choice for the low-key couple.

After the 45-minute Jewish ceremony, the 100 guests headed to the resort, which features beautiful grounds dotted by hiking trails and two small pools (one of which is clothing-optional). Guests included celebs such as Ivanka Trump and Macaulay Culkin -- and of course the couple's 14-month-old son, Aleph.

The overall goal of the hotel is to create a zen, holistic retreat -- with offerings like yoga classes and afternoon wine and cheese -- which may be one reason why the vegan actress chose it for the reception. In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, the couple served French macaroons in honor of the groom's nationality.

Guests partied til 2 a.m. and received bags of wildflower seeds as party favors. The bride also wore a wreath of wildflowers in her hair.
