Are you looking for Halloween-themed activities in Boston? October weekends in Boston are generally crisp, sunny, and cool -- perfect for Halloween festivities! If you're visiting this October, don't miss out on these two great events.

For the kids, HalloweenFest, supporting the kids' fund at Boston Medical Center, is taking place at the Prudential Center on October 23 and 24. The event includes face painting, pumpkin decorating, coloring contests, a bouncy house, and performances by kid-friendly musicians and magicians. On Sunday, kids are invited to trick-or-treat through the Prudential Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is $4 per child (adults are free) and tickets can be purchased online.

For adults only, check out Halloween on the Harbor, a Halloween party for adults over the age of 21 on Thursday, October 28. The party, which takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at thirteen of Boston's best bars and restaurants , is $5 per person, and proceeds benefit the Friends Pumpkin Pageant, a free pumpkin carving event for children and families at the Boston Children’s Museum. Guests of the party will be shuttled on Boston Old Towne Trolleys between the different venues, where they can enjoy Halloween-themed appetizers and cocktails.

Planning on visiting either of these events, and need a place to stay? For HalloweenFest, consider the Westin Copley Place or the Sheraton Boston -- both of which are connected to the Prudential Center. For Halloween on the Harbor, I'd recommend the Renaissance Waterfront Boston Hotel, or the event's co-spnsor, the Seaport Hotel, which are both stops on the tour.
