Bikes and Picnics in NYC's Chelsea
The High Line Hotel in New York's artistic and picturesque Chelsea neighborhood is one of the best boutiques in the area, just a few blocks from the High Line, new Whitney Museum, and Hudson River Parkway. Guests have always had access to free vintage bikes, perfect for exploring like a local, but this month, the hotel teemed up with Shinola, a Detroit-based manufacturing company that produces quality American-made products, to bring guests something special: a fleet of French-inspired Runwell bicycles specially designed for city biking. And it gets better: Each of the six bikes are custom fit with a handmade cargo box designed to hold a gourmet picnic basket stocked with Italian goodies from the on-site Alta Linea restaurant. What better way to enjoy a summer day in New York City than with a picnic and bike ride?
