The Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana, part of the massive Bahia resort complex, has not one, but two swim-up bars -- one located in each of its two main pools. The pools can get pretty busy though, so it’s best for social butterflies who aren’t afraid of mingling!
This all-inclusive hotel in the Riu complex has an ornate swim-up bar designed in the British and Spanish colonial-era architectural style found throughout the resort (bet you never thought you’d hear those words strung together). The clientele is mainly European, as Riu is a Spanish brand.
Like many hotels in Punta Cana (and particularly the hotels on this list), the Occidental Caribe is an all-inclusive resort, meaning the booze at the swim-up bar is free flowing. There are three pools, and the bar is located in the main one.
If you’re traveling on a budget, look no further than the Caribe Club Princess Beach Resort & Spa, which is a great value all-inclusive resort -- with a swim-up bar. When the pool closes, fear not. There’s a 24-hour bar on site that will keep the party going.
Paradisus has four all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, and this one is the largest of them all. As such, it doesn’t feel too crowded! The swim-up bar here, which is located in the main pool, is a quieter affair, though it’s still plenty of fun.
Looking for fun without the kids? This adults-only all-inclusive resort is the most luxurious Iberostar in Punta Cana (there are four). The three pools all have chic daybeds, but only one has the swim-up bar.
Pulling from our review, “Guests are never far from a cold beverage at the Majestic.” There’s a great swim-up bar in the pool, but if you’d prefer to stay on dry land, there are several options right next to it.
In our opinion, the Hard Rock is typically known for being a party-hard brand, and while you can certainly party it up at the Vegas-style nightclub and casino, you can also find more relaxing spaces. Take the swim-up bar, for instance -- it’s located in the adults-only Eden Pool, which is a quiet retreat amid the revelry.
The main pool at the Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort, Spa & Casino, where the swim-up bar is located, has a lively atmosphere. If you’re looking for a calmer experience, there’s a quieter pool, too, but where’s the fun in that?
