A guide to dining out on Easter in the Miami area

    It’s time for another holiday! Local chefs are getting creative in the kitchen and whipping up some fantastic menus for Easter 2011. Whether you enjoy brunch or dinner, a la carte or buffet, you’re sure to find something to your liking. Here are some options for the Miami area.


    Angelique Euro Cafe, 117 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables; 305.529.9922 Time: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for brunch, and 4:00-9:00 pm for dinner


    Angelique will offer both a special brunch on dinner menu on Easter. Both will be served a la carte, and children will receive a special surprise during their meal. Highlights for brunch include Golden Tomato Soup ($6); French Toast with creme Anglaise and powdered sugar ($8); and Eggs Angelique ($12) - 2 poached eggs, prosciutto cotto over rustic toast and hollandaise sauce. Dinner specials include Potato Gnocchi ($12); an Apple and Arugula Salad ($8); and Grilled Beef Filet Mignon ($30) served with sauteed baby spinach, savory mushroom bread pudding and truffled mushroom gravy.

    Chef Jonathan McCann has created a sumptuous 3-course menu for Easter Sunday at Conrad Miami. This includes your choice of appetizer, like the Chipotle Spiced Crab Cakes with fennel slaw and avocado vinaigrette; choice of entree, like the Grilled Florida Mahi with caramelized pineapple, crisp fried eggplant served with tomato & thyme chutney; and either a Chocolate & Raspberry Tart or Warm Rhubarb Crumble for dessert.

    Make plans to go to Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club Aventura for Easter brunch. Enjoy a spread of breakfast favorites like eggs made any style, French toast, pancakes, a carving station and more. An Easter egg hunt (for children 12 and younger) will take place at 1:00 p.m.


    Cioppino at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, 455 Grand Bay Dr., Key Biscayne Seatings at 6:00 and 9:00 p.m.; $90/adults and $40/children


    Cioppino will offer a lavish buffet complete with 14 live action area, chilled seafood, a caviar area and an entire room filled with desserts. Reservations are required.

    Dine in style at Eos and enjoy breathtaking views of Miami. Your holiday brunch will include unlimited mimosas, a spread of fresh and tropical salads, an eggs benedict station, omelet station, seafood station and more. Don't miss the Chocolate Decadent Station with a giant strawberry shortcake tower.

    Chef Dewey LoSasso will tantalize your taste buds on Easter Sunday. Along with a decadent buffet, guests will enjoy complimentary mimosas and bloody marys.


    Indigo Restaurant the the Intercontinental Miami, 100 Chopin Plaza, Miami; 305.577.1000 Brunch will be served from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm; $42++/person


    Enjoy a full buffet at Indigo complete with music by Jazz pianist David Tobin. This lavish buffet will a selection of Mediterranean Tapas like Serrano Ham with Local Melons; Breakfast favorites like Eggs Benedict; BBQ Glazed Ham from the Carving Board; hot dishes like Rigatoni Pasta with local seafood marinara and an assortment of fresh seafood. While you're there, don't forget to stop by the mimosa and dessert bar for an added treat.


    Isabela's Restaurant at the JW Marriott, 1109 Brickell Ave, Miami 305.329.3656 Time: noon - 3:00 p.m.; $72++/person and $29++/children (6-11)


    It will be quite a feast at the JW Marriott with an Easter brunch that is complete with a lavish buffet, balloons, assorted candy and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Highlights on the menu include a sushi and ceviche bar; French toast with ricotta cheese and raspberry sauce; Pan Seared Sea Bass with lemon butter sauce; Grilled Whole Tenderloin served with chimichurri sauce, Hollandaise foie gras; and more. Children's favorites will also be available.


    Oceanaire, 900 S Miami Ave, Suite 111, Miami Brunch hours are from noon until 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be served from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.


    Enjoy a sumptuous seafood brunch at The Oceanaire Seafood Room with plenty of a la carte menu items to strike your fancy. Chef Kareem Anguin will tempt you with creative dishes like French Toast with Rum and Vanilla Soaked Cuban French Toast; Oceanaire Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Benedict; and Baked Stuffed Idaho Rainbow Trout. A special children's menu will be available for those 11 and under.

    Bring the family out to The Setai and enjoy their Easter Sunday Jazz Brunch. Executive Chef David Werly has created a buffet menu featuring cooking styles of the Far East, combined with Western favorites. For the kids, an Easter Egg Hunt will take place in The Library, and adults will like the free-flowing Taittinger champagne.

    Enjoy a luxurious Easter brunch in the Grand Ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove. Enjoy favorite breakfast favorites, gourmet culinary stations, including a Honey Glazed Ham with Spicy Dijon, Blackened Roasted Prime Rib, Roasted Turkey Breast with Cranberry, Orange and Ginger Chutney. Combine that a mini desserts and free flowing champagne for the perfect start to your Easter celebration. Entertainment will be provided for the whole family and that includes an Easter Egg hunt, movies, a cookie decorating station and balloon animals will be made for the kids.

    Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli has created a sumptuous 3-course prix-fixe for Easter. Start off with a glass of Cava and get ready to indulge on creative dishes like a Sweet Florida Corn Bisque with smoked bacon, chives and vanilla oil; Pan Roasted Florida Grouper with stewed tomato, Kalamata olives and lemon; and Creamsicle Panna Cotta with fresh berries, orange zest and butter cookies.

    Yes, Pasta! will be offering a la carte menu items on Easter Sunday. Enjoy Italian favorites like Fave con pecorino e salame (Fava beans, pecorino cheese and salami) for $9.50, Sugo d'agnello e carciofi (Lamb ragout with artichoke and thyme) for $14 or Agnello scottadito (Grilled Lamb served with potatoes) for $21.
