This property claims to be the only designated naturist hotel in all of Spain. It is located directly on the beach, on a strip of Andalusian coast where nudity is allowed and common. The heart of the resort is the large pool with waterfalls and waterslides, situated between the main structure and the coast. Guests are required to dress in the restaurant at all times and in public areas in the evening. As the primary target audience is nudists, those who do not practise naturism may want to find a different option. Rooms are dated and dining options can get monotonous, but prices -- which include all-inclusive options -- are generally low.
Scene
Claims to be the only designated naturist hotel in Spain
This designated naturist hotel claims to be the only of its kind in Spain. Rooms are set along interior hallways overlooking the lobby, which features a high, glassed-in atrium, marble floors, and wicker chairs. Some guests have remarked that the crowd at the hotel tends to be older; many of the guests are repeat clients. The sprawling, airy resort has a certain beach charm that seems to be a bit dated as it hasn't changed in the past couple of decades, but it's not unpleasant. However, some guests who have been repeat customers over the years have remarked that the hotel is in need of an update.
Location
Directly on the beach, on the Andalusian coast about an hour from Almeria
The property is situated directly on the beach, along a sandy stretch of coast known for its nudist beaches. The hotel is about an hour’s drive from Almeria airport, and while public transportation is not a truly viable option between the two, the hotel can arrange for a transfer with advance notice.
Rooms
Dated nautical decor with Andalusian touches
Much of the room decor is achieved through custom tiles, which are attractively painted in a Spanish style, incorporating blues and yellows to depict seaside scenes. Apart from this touch, the rooms are spartan, with a table and chairs or a couch and little more. All rooms have AC and balconies. Studio-style rooms come with small kitchenettes. Mattresses are on the firm side, and a double rooms consist of two beds pushed together.
Features
Main feature is the outdoor pool
The hotel's basic wood-paneled fitness center has a handful of exercise machines and stationary bicycles. There's also a sturdy outdoor playground, a ping-pong table, outdoor chess, and a few other games. The vast pool is the highlight and has has a walk-in slope with hand rails as an alternative to stairs. The pool area also has rock formations, waterfalls, and water slides, as well as a large hot tub, all of which are surrounded by palm trees. Sun loungers by the pool may need to be replaced. Some guests have complained of noise from both kitchen trolleys and live entertainment. Wi-fi is available, but for a fee.
