Deceivingly large, with a wide variety of amenities, the Anaheim Hotel is located directly across from the entrance to Disneyland and is convenient to a number of restaurants, shops, and attractions in Anaheim. This sprawling budget property is geared towards Disney-bound families and couples, and includes conveniences such as an on-site restaurant with free breakfast, a huge outdoor pool, and on-site car rentals. Overall, the hotel is a good value, and renovated common areas are fresh, but generally it is older than others in the area and rooms can feel a bit worn-out. There's also a daily charge for both Wi-Fi and parking, although the parking fees are low compared to other nearby hotels and to Disneyland itself.
Scene
Attractive, green grounds and a large lobby
Simple but spacious, the lobby at this hotel is light and well-lit and features a marble reception desk where guests can both check in and purchase tickets for Disneyland. The space received much-needed renovations after our visit, adding colorful mid-century modern chairs and couches, clear plastic tables, and contemporary striped carpeting. In the corner is a small business center with a computer and a printer. There's also an ATM and the entrance to the on-site restaurant and lounge bar is shared with the hotel lobby. The grounds are colorful and well-maintained, with gardens, greenery, paths, and a gazebo.
Location
Convenient to Disneyland and other local attractions
Located on busy South Harbor Boulevard, the Anaheim Hotel is a large property with multiple clusters of buildings, directly across from the main entrance to Disneyland. Although Disneyland is the main attraction in the area, a variety of chain restaurants and gift shops are next door to the property.
Rooms
Basic but clean, large, and attractive rooms, some with balconies
Rooms at this hotel are spacious and tidy, but a bit plain, particularly in contrast to modern common areas, and are decorated in shades of burgundy, gold, and white. Guests can choose between standard rooms with two queens or a single king, or can book larger family suites that include two adjoining rooms. Every room includes a microwave, coffeemaker, mini-fridge, and cable TV, and some also feature a balcony or patio.
Features
Large pool, laundry room, arcade games, and free-breakfast
