Bottom Line
As the name suggests, Anaheim's Peacock Suites is an all-suite property. Rooms sleep four to six and are decorated in bright reds, oranges, and browns with peacock feather motifs. There's plenty on-site for children, including a pool, a play fountain, and a game area, complete with arcade games and foosball. The property is near the Anaheim Convention Center and while there's free Wi-Fi, its general lack of business facilities make it a more popular choice with families than with corporate travelers. Those in town on business may prefer the Hotel Menage, which had a more equal balance between business and leisure travelers.

Scene
Family-focused timeshare property with a bright lobby and dark hallways
A short drive from the Disney Parks, Peacock Suites is primarily frequented by families with children, and can sometimes have a rowdy atmosphere. Glass doors etched with frosted peacock designs open onto a bright lobby with a round sofa area and a station with tea and coffee for guests. The hallways are dark but have the occasional old black and white print of the Anaheim of yore or Walt Disney himself. Although it's part of the Shell Vacations Club time-share program, the Peacock Suites also accepts non-members, and there haven't been many complaints of aggressive time-share sales pitches.
Location
A five-minute drive to Disneyland in a busy area that feels sketchy at night
Peacock Suites is near the Interstate 5 in an area surrounded by highways. There are a few other hotels in the immediate vicinity, as well as plenty of chain restaurants, and there's a 7-11 a one-minute walk away. Disneyland is a five-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the hotel, and there's a shuttle available (for a fee). Note that while the area around the hotel is clean and has well-maintained sidewalks, it's not the safest part of town to wander around at night.
Rooms
Brightly decorated rooms with pullout sofa beds are on the small side.
Rooms in this all-suites hotel are decorated in bright hues of chocolate, saffron, and red, with peacock feather motifs on the pillows and black and white photography on the walls. All suites are one-bedroom and have either a king bed or two queens as well as pullout sofas. Standard amenities include mini-fridges, microwaves, safes, and iPod docks as well as little bathrooms with shower/tub combos. Some past guests have complained that the rooms are a bit small for larger families and that noise travels easily between suites.
Features
Shaded pool, recreational activities, and parking and breakfast for an additional fee
The semi-enclosed pool at the Peacock Suites is shaded by a ceiling, but flanked with an open area with lounge chairs for sunbathing -- serious sun-worshipers may prefer catching rays on the open rooftop terrace. Next to the pool are two whirlpools and an open-air sprinkler-style fountain for kids to play in. Other amenities include a covered patio with a foosball table, a pingpong table, a barbecue grill, and a couple of old arcade games. There's an on-site fitness center, but it's minuscule, and a coin-operated laundry room. There's no restaurant, but a continental breakfast is available (for a fee). Parking is of the valet variety and comes with a fee, but Wi-Fi is included in room rates.
