This hotel is geared toward travelers seeking to escape the high prices and hubbub of properties closer to the Disney District. Its reasonable rates, spacious rooms, and corporate amenities also attract business travelers and groups, such as sports teams participating in tournaments. The lobby, with its ceiling that extends for two stories, striking chandelier that's composed of several  pieces of curved metal, modern leather-backed chairs, and a two-sided, curved teal-blue couch, makes a pleasing first impression. A gas fireplace framed in natural stone creates a homey, casual vibe. The front desk is a handsome mix of light and dark woods, with a back-lit wall behind it that glows neon green. 

The Fairfield Inn is located in a commercial/residential district of Anaheim Hills, at the end of a cul-de-sac. It borders a retail center with several restaurants, including a Starbucks cafe, which is a five-minute walk from the hotel. Other restaurants are within a short drive. The hotel is adjacent to the Riverside freeway (91), making it easy to reach several Anaheim attractions. Depending on traffic, it's about a 20- to 25-minute drive to Disneyland Park, Downtown Disney District, Anaheim Convention Center, the Outlets at Orange, and Knott’s Berry Farm. Angel Stadium of Anaheim and the Honda Center are about 15 minutes' driving time, and Newport Beach and Sunset Beach are a 30- to 35-minute drive away. John Wayne Airport is about a 20-minute drive, and LAX is about a 50-minute drive.

The hotel's 163 rooms are contemporary, spacious, and tasteful, and typical of the Fairfield Inn brand. Distinctive black-and teal carpeting in overlapping circles gives a graphic punch, and gold accent walls in a branch pattern add decorative flair. Squat armchairs or orange sleeper sofas provide seating. Furniture includes modular-style desks on wheels and matching wall shelves in a light-oak finish. Headboards, armoires, and dressers are a reddish brown. While rooms are generally well-maintained, past guests have reported musty smells. Standard King, Double Queen, and King with Sofa Bed Rooms -- at 288 square feet -- offer ample space. King Suites are 586 square feet, and include wet bars, sleeper sofas, and whirlpool tubs placed outside the bathrooms. Bathrooms have spacious black-granite vanities, with shower/tub combos framed by white tile. Some rooms have jetted tubs. All rooms have mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, 32-inch flat screen TVs, voice mail, and free Wi-Fi. Half the rooms face the street, and the other half overlook the courtyard or pool. With exterior corridors and a busy highway nearby, rooms are not immune from ambient noise.

This hotel offers all the expected features of a Fairfield Inn, starting with the free hot breakfast buffet that includes eggs and meats. Free coffee and ice water are available in the lobby, where a market sells sundries, snacks, drinks, and frozen entrees that guests can microwave in their rooms. The fitness center has been upgraded to include Life Fitness cardio equipment and free weights. The heated outdoor pool and whirlpool are on the small side for a hotel of this size, but there are plenty of lounge chairs on hand. Two separate meeting spaces can hold up to 20 people, and the business center has two computer stations with internet access and a printer. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. There's a coin-operated laundry on site, and valet dry cleaning and laundry services can be arranged. Ample free parking is available, which has a covered designated-smoking area outside.
