Dated room decor
The Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn is located less than a block from Disneyland's front gates, a convenience that's the main draw for this two-and-a-half-pearl hotel. The 88 rooms are dated, and there are occasional reports of bugs in the bathrooms. But the lobby and breakfast room are clean, and a substantial hot breakfast buffet is included (note there's a mandatory resort fee), and it can be taken on the outdoor terrace. There's an outdoor pool with loungers, along with an adjacent hot tub. Travelers might want to compare rates with the Best Western Plus Park Place Inn -- Mini Suites, which is across the street from Disneyland.
Scene
Updated value hotel down the street from Disneyland
The pedestrian-friendly area around the Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn is like one long strip mall of hotels and fast-food chains, with families coming and going from Disneyland. The three-story property has a partial slate facade, with motel-style exterior-entry rooms and open-air walkways overlooking parking spaces. The small lobby has been updated with a slate-fronted desk and pleasantly sedate earth-tone furnishings.
Location
Across from Disneyland, within walking distance of restaurants
The Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn is about a two-minute walk to Disneyland and its high-speed tram. Family-friendly restaurants surrounding the hotel –- with a Tony Roma's on one side and a Denny's, Cold Stone Creamery, Captain Kidd's, and IHOP on the other. Harbor Boulevard is a wide, busy, heavily trafficked street, but its sidewalks are spacious and nicely landscaped. Los Angeles International Airport is at least a 45-minute drive (expect to double that, depending on traffic), and Orange County Airport is about a 20-minute drive.
Rooms
Dated rooms with mini-fridges and microwaves
The hotel's 88 rooms are located on three floors of open-air walkways, and can be reached by stairs or elevator. The decor, with cream-colored wallpaper, patterned red carpets, and old-fashioned wood furnishings, looks straight out of a previous decade. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers. In-room vanities are outside the dated bathrooms, which have shower-tub combos.
Features
Outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, on-site Disney tickets, and breakfast included
As a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, tickets to the park can be bought on-site with no surcharge. The hotel has no bar or full restaurant, but its bright breakfast room has an outdoor balcony with a view of the park's entrance (and Disneyland’s nightly fireworks). Besides coffee and danish, the free breakfast buffet includes hot options like waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage. On the sundeck there's a heated pool, along with a hot tub and a tiled shower, and the hotel also has a fitness center with cardio and weight equipment, and free parking. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
