The Baymont Inn & Suites Anaheim is a budget property located within 15 minutes' drive of Disneyland Park and Knott's Berry Farm. The 94 rooms and suites have flat-screen TVs and mini-fridges, and are generally clean and spacious enough. However, decor is dated, and there have been complaints of a lack of housekeeping, and minor maintenance issues. Features include an outdoor pool and a hot tub, a small fitness center, and free breakfast with basic hot and cold items. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit seedy for some guests' taste. Travelers who want to be closer to the attractions could also consider the similarly priced Americas Best Value Inn & Suites, which is within walking distance of Disneyland.
Scene
Basic property catering to vacationing families on a budget
The hotel's immediate surroundings are nothing fancy, just some seedy motels and a car dealership. However, the property makes an effort to offer a pleasant welcome. Palm trees and leafy plants line the three-story tan-colored building,
and the entrance has stacked-stone pillars, more tropical plants, and a red brick driveway. Inside, the lobby is mostly tan-colored and fairly bare bones, with a pair of black-and-gold-striped sofas and an armchair surrounding a marble-top table. Racks of
tourist brochures sit near the long wooden front desk. The breakfast room is darker and feels less open than the lobby. Busy carpeting and red vinyl-cushioned wooden chairs decorate the space, which has attractive arched ceilings. It’s a busy space that can get a bit cramped during peak breakfast hours. While these common areas are pleasant enough, the hallways leading to rooms are dark and musty, and have worn carpeting or tile floors. Most guests are families looking for a budget-friendly place to stay that's not too far from Disneyland.
Location

The hotel is located in southwest Anaheim on busy South
Beach Boulevard. and surrounded by budget-class motels. Knott’s Berry Farm is about a five-minute drive down the road, and Adventure City is only two minutes' drive. There are a couple of restaurants within a one-minute
walk, but families with kids might prefer not to cross the road on foot. The popular Dad Miller Golf Course is an eight-minute drive, while
Disneyland Park and the Anaheim Convention Center are approximately 15 minutes
by car, depending on traffic. Sunset Beach is 20 to 25 minutes away by car, and Newport
Beach is about 30 to 35 minutes away. Approximate driving times to the John Wayne
Airport and LAX are 25 and 45 minutes, respectively.
Rooms
Generally clean and comfortable with dated decor and mini-fridges, but some could use updates
The rooms are average in size and feature decor that is a
bit dark and dated. Light-brown carpet and tan walls are accented with plaid-patterned drapes and red-and-gold-striped bed throws. The reddish-brown wood furniture includes headboards, bedside cabinets, small tables, and units that hold flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges. Suites add microwaves. Bathrooms are done in tan and beige tile and/or cheaper-looking acrylic, and include exterior vanities (in some), and shower/tub combos. Wi-Fi is free. Standard Rooms come in King and Double Queen bed options. Many guest have reported enjoying the extra space offered in the Family Suites, each with two queen-size beds, a sleeper sofa, two bathrooms, and two TVs as well as a separate living room. In some rooms, furnishings and decor are showing signs of wear and tear and are in need of updates. Some guests have also complained of foul smells, stained walls and ceilings, and musty and moldy bathrooms. Room to room noise can be an issue, as well.

It's worth noting that breakfast must be eaten in the breakfast room and cannot be taken back to guest rooms, which has irritated some previous guests. Parking is free, and the lot sits adjacent to the outdoor pool and hot tub.
