The tree-filled Anaheim Resort RV Park campground, located off I-5, provides a budget-friendly way to visit Disneyland, which is within a five-minute drive and visible -- along with its evening fireworks -- from the campsite. Each of the 150 sites offers full hookups and a picnic area, and most have trees. Family owned and operated since 1956, the campground is clean and well-maintained, and the owner takes great pride in its eco-initiatives, including the use of recycled materials, solar energy, touchless fixtures in the bathrooms (with tile showers), and turf that requires no watering or seeding. The swimming pool and hot tub have been updated, and there's a business center with two computers and a printer, a laundry room that takes credit cards, free Wi-Fi throughout, and a free breakfast that includes coffee or tea, and muffins. The park is pet-friendly (up to two dogs allowed without an additional fee), and has a dog area and dog walk -- even a dog walker who can look after pets when guests are out sightseeing.
Scene
A family-owned, "green" campground with immaculate grounds
Built in 1956 by the grandfather of the current owner, this family-run, eco-conscious property cultivates a friendly, neighborly, family-oriented vibe. Clean and well-maintained, the property has undergone renovations, with upgrades to the bathrooms and pool area. The utilitarian-looking lobby has large windows, which bring in plenty of light, blue and white linoleum, merchandise for sale, a front desk where Disneyland tickets can be purchased, and a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. The RV Cafe and Clubhouse has white plastic tables and chairs where guests can have their free morning coffee and muffins, two computers with Internet access and a printer, and another 60-inch wall-mounted TV. A blown-up map of the historic Route 66 covers one wall, while
red countertops and black-and-white tile brighten the breakfast serving area.
Mickey Mouse figurines sit on the countertops. Large groups traveling together can use this area for private functions. There are also plans for a second cafe and an observation deck from which to view the nightly fireworks.
Location
Off I-5, within a five-minute drive of Disneyland and other area sights

is off I-5 on a quiet street with the ART bus station a five-minute walk
from the hotel. Restaurants and Walmart are within a 15-minute walk, while Disneyland, Disney
California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney are a five-minute drive from the
property. An ART shuttle runs back and forth from the campground to the Disneyland Resort Park. The Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim GardenWalk, Grove of Anaheim,
Angel Stadium, and Honda Center are also within a five-minute, drive while the
John Wayne Airport is 15-minutes away.
Rooms
Full hookups included, plus picnic area; modern eco-friendly bathrooms and showers on-site
All sights include full
hookups (20/30/50 amp electricity to water and sewer connections, and cable TV), as well as picnic
tables made from recycled materials and trees for shade. Guests can view Disneyland fireworks from their sights. Be aware that each site is for two guests, and extra guests incur a daily fee; it's the same for pets, after two, a fee applies. Bathrooms have wood floors, tan tile showers, and tan countertops with
stainless steel sinks, and come with "green" features such as LED
lighting, and touchless faucets, toilets, and hand dryers.
Features
Delightful outdoor pool and hot tub, plus free Wi-Fi and pet-friendly policy
Blue tiles surround the
beautiful outdoor pool, and pleasingly shaped hot tub; a tan deck offers white chairs for seating. A business center with two computers and a printer is
in the RV Cafe and Clubhouse, and guests can have their morning coffee (or tea) with muffins here too. There is a coin-
and credit-card-operated laundry facility. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The property is pet-friendly, with dog walks, pet
waste stations, and a dog walker on-site who can care for pets while guests are away. Be aware that bringing more than two pets incurs a fee, and the campground accepts only non-aggressive breeds.
