Its 68 rooms are fairly basic and small, but clean and pleasantly outfitted in the namesake coffee hues, with lovely, modern bathrooms. Though the hotel's amenities are limited to free Wi-Fi and breakfast that is available at an additional fee, the sunlit lobby is full of seating and overlooks the busy Overtoom street, with free coffee and tea available all day. The convenient location that's surrounded by restaurants and shops and is well-serviced by several tram lines is a big draw for tourists, though for a hotel that offers a bit more, travelers might want to consider the nearby Hotel Vondel, which is more stylish and has a restaurant.

The open-plan layout also includes the adjoining breakfast room, where a large photograph of a steaming cup of coffee adorns the wall. Free coffee and tea throughout the day are a thoughtful touch.
