Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda is a beautiful and quiet property set on a sea-facing clifftop. It's full of serene, manicured gardens and cobbled pathways, with excellent ocean views found throughout the property. Guests enter through salmon-hued walls into a cobblestoned parking area framed by tropical palms and flowers. Check-in takes place in a beautiful lobby area with walls in shades of yellow and turquoise, plus quintessentially Portuguese decor elements such as blue-and-white tiling. A couple of small display cases featuring spa items for sale sits off to one side. A similar vibe is found inside the hotel's restaurant, which features wooden furniture and low ceilings , as well as a large al fresco seating area under a glass awning, with beautiful views of the sea beyond. Most guests are vacationing couples looking for a romantic getaway, though larger rooms with pull-out beds inspire families to stay here, too. 

Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda is located in Southern Lagos, right by Praia do Canavial, in an area with lots of other hotels and a few restaurants. It takes just under 10 minutes by car to reach most of the shops, restaurants, and sites of Old Town (or about half an hour on foot). Forte da Ponta da Bandeira is five-minute drive from the hotel, while the Mercado dos Escravos takes eight minutes to reach. It's a five-minute drive to the oft-photographed cliffs at Ponta da Piedade. The closest airport is in Faro, about an hour away by car, while getting to Lisbon takes upwards of two and a half hours without traffic. 

Vivenda Miranda offers a wide range of attractive room types, all with air-conditioning and private terraces or balconies. Decor varies, though most either have traditional Portuguese inspiration (think softly hued or mottled white walls and antique-style furniture) or brighter, more contemporary decor such as bright-red tables matched with red, magenta, and white striped chairs and accent walls. All come with minibars, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi, but they lack coffee- and tea-making facilities. Bathrooms feature wooden countertops with vessel sinks and lovely brown-and-gray stone walk-in rainfall showers. Magnifying mirrors, bathrobes, slippers, and hairdryers are also provided.Deluxe Rooms have living areas and some are spread out over two levels, while Deluxe Suites have separate living rooms with sofa beds and sleep up to four. There's also a Superior Suite with a big balcony that looks out over the pool and the ocean, while the Boutique Grand Suite is individually decorated in bright hues of purple and pink and features custom furniture, a huge living area, and two bathrooms.

Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda offers a sufficient array of amenities, with the spa and dining options being stand outs. Mirandus Restaurant serves Mediterranean fine-dining, with vegetarian, vegan, raw, and gluten-free options available. Guests also have the option of partaking in a traditional Portuguese-style Churrasco barbecue, as well as afternoon tea service. A buffet breakfast is included in room rates and includes fresh juices, pastries and bread, cold meats and cheeses, fine teas, and coffee. A bright, large spa has a big cedar sauna, a steam room, and a foot spa, plus a wide range of treatments using products from London-based Neal's Yard Remedies are available. There's no dedicated gym, but a relaxation room in the spa has a few pieces of cardio equipment. At the heart of the hotel is a lovely, if small, outdoor pool surrounded partially by a building housing some of the rooms and by a grassy garden area. There's also a lawn with lounge chairs and ocean views at the far end of the pool. Other amenities include free hotel-wide Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. Wedding services are available and the entire property can be rented out.
